Welcome back to another report, made by yours truly. Today, I am looking for TWO NEW News Reporters!
Hello reader! Are you interested in becoming a News Reporter on the DSGHQ Forums and on OldCP? Well, now's your chance! First, I will be answering a few questions you may have!
1. What's a News Reporter? A News Reporter is someone who types up reports on the DSGHQ Forums about events that occur on OldCP, iOldCP, and Penguin 3D!
2. What can a News Reporter do? Essentially, a News Reporter just reports about events that occur on a weekly basis, but they also have a command! Also, you may collab with a fellow press to produce a report!
2.5. Command for Press:
-/News
I know it may seem like press isn't very cool, but if you're an excellent writer and you LOVE writing, I especially recommend this rank! Not only does the Press have a command on OldCP, but they also have access to post on the "News" Section on Forums!
3. What is a Chief Editor? The Chief Editor basically delegates reports and organizes the Press. As well as organization, the Chief Editor creates an uniformed order of which Press reports when. This is so that there aren't multiple reports on the same event and everyone can work on their own event!
4. What's required of the Press? Simply, the Press must report about every significant event on the platforms that I mentioned above. Activity isn't as crucial as it is of Moderators or other ranks, but PLEASE make sure you attend prominent events. News Reports should be published often!
5. News Reporter Pay:
-2,000 gold per report made.
Side Note: Although the Press don't have a pay every month, Brit is considering giving the rank a paycheck!

Honestly I would have loved to have been a News Reporter back in the day when I got online daily and was actually active in the community, but now I'm not nearly active enough to become a News Reporter. I wish those trying to become a Reporter luck though!

How I Qualify/Meet the Requirements: I am very active on OldCp and I easily keep up with everything that has been going on on there, including CZ! I fit the requirements because I am pretty good at writing and I am able to attend most of the events that go on on OldCp. If I miss an event, I could just watch it on cinema and then report on it later. I am also fairly punctual and can post a news report on the same day of an event that has taken place.
I have also been interested in becoming a news reporter for a long time. Usually I write reports on CZ because it seems like most people don't know whats going on and it helps them to understand things a bit more. If I get News Reporter I would also write about other evens that happen as I think that could be fun.
Past Experience: As I said before, I have written many reports on CZ. I also have other writing experience like with the time that I fooled many people into thinking that I stole the sun and kidnapped Sled. I also have experience with many other ranks, most of which are irrelevant to News Reporter. The most relevant one is Moth. While I was moth I wrote a few informative scrolls, such as the one on the history of Dorval.

Despite the experience and ranks that these four and a half years in the community has given me, I was a former author for the OldCP blog and SpeedyCPPSHQ. In two of the blogs, I would write the latest news and/or updates of the games. At the time being an author, it was challenging, yet a prodigious and stunning experience. I have developed and practiced numerous skills that could be useful for the position.
More than anything else, writing takes patience and time. As a student, the school has taught me the importance of analyzing texts and/or excerpts and writings essays. As this point, it is crucial that one must know of grammar. I always check my writing and/or posts before sharing it. I consider grammar to be the most important aspect into writing because it gives credibility to the author's writing and the reader will be well-informed in a clear manner.
A skill that I have an advantage of, out of several other people, is the ability to speak and write in three languages. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I have been studying French since the beginning point of my high school career. To count the math, it has been four years from now. It would be foolish of me to count French as my fluency because I have only learned the basic concepts. However, I can grasp and speak sentences easily. Language, especially when you are bilingual or higher, is influential when it comes to communicating. Although this community has a tendency of only speaking and writing in English, there are a few users who do not. Therefore, it would only be fair to give them information on the community, so they can feel like they have a place to belong in.
Although it has been a month of being active, I wish to take the slow route of earning anything huge and instead focus on my trust and authority towards the users, like I once did in the past. Like most of us, we have school and extracurricular(s) to attend. I am usually on Discord more often than anything else. A rank like this would give me an easier time to participate in the community, while still being able to accomplish my everyday habits. In the end, an hour or more of my time will not do any harm to either you or me.
Thank you for giving me and the rest an opportunity to apply. I wish the best of luck and respect to the rest of the applicants and to those who get it.

DSGHQ: None much, just a Rookie and a Member, nothing special apart from some badges. I've never been banned or suspended, though.
OLDCP: War Knight 9 times, Knight once, Detective once, World Champion
I know I don't seem like the type of person to be a News Reporter, however, I know a lot about crimezone as I seek for knowledge, and I'm active quite often both in the Forums and OldCP. I love to write, and explain stories that have happened, and I've never really had a chance too. I was in pretty big trouble a few times for things I shouldn't have done, but I was forgiven, and I want to go on from there. I love to get images of past events, and I know how to manage text quite well. I am quite good when it comes to grammar and spelling, as I've been a really good writer in real life as well. When I make news, I want people to read it, and I want people to stay hooked on it, rather than just skid through it all. I try not to look at bias when it comes to news, and I believe I could be a good News Reporter. I would report on the Saturday of each week and have interviews of people in my news stories. I might even give out secrets so the people are informed. I've always been a straight A in English classes at school, and have been in the gifted program for quite some time. When I am writing, I look to give news to those who may even be someone as high as Damen. I strive to be a good news reporter, and to prove that I can change and do well for the better.
If I were to be made a News Reporter I would prove to you and many others that even though I don't seem like the type of person to report, I can surely change for the better, and give the best stories I can produce.

Unfortunately, like Key, I’m in the process of getting back my active ness here. I’ll be producing a few unofficial GOM News Reports just to remind myself of what these news reports must include, but if all goes to plan I’d love to apply!
