Today Damen was going to host an event for his new idea: Monk Trials. Monk Trials was supposed to be the replacement for Moth Trials but the rank would have been much more restrictive than what Moth was. The Monks would have been confined to four rooms (WMC, PC, Moth Library, and the Moth Temple). They would also have been run by the Warlord, which we currently do not have. This idea was wildly unpopular and lead to people chanting "Save the Moths" on OldCp and also posting many moods in support of keeping the rank on forums. Damen ended up changing his mind on matters and conbined the Moth Council and the Wise council into the Moth Wise council.
It will be interesting to see how this new council will evolve.
First for the new Moth Trials the competitors who were going for Grand Moth Wise, which is essentially the new High Priest rank, had to participate in a joust. They were told to team up in pairs. The last five standing would get to answer trivia questions to determine which would be Grand Moth Wise. The competitors in the joust consisted of Bean, Loki, Maeglin, Edmund, Mike, Ian, Tom, Dragon, and Zelrus.
Those who survived to go on to trivia were Bean, Loki, Zelrus, Edmund, and Dragon.
Edmund won the wise off thus he became the Grand Moth Wise!
Then Edmund asked five questions out of a group of competitors that consisted of just anyone in general who wanted to compete for Wise Moth.
Edmund selected Loki and Bean to become the first two Wise Moths.
After Edmund selected his two moths, Damen asked another set of five questions and picked four more people to serve on the Wise Moth council. Damen's questions were incredibly wise. Here is a sample of one of his questions!
The people he selected were Tom, Zelrus, Mike, and Maeglin. Before Maeglin could become Wise Moth he had to curse Pythas and swear to become good as he was previous a witch. Julian was offered Wise Moth but declined the offer.
After Moth Trials, Damen announced Orbay to be the new King of Das! Orbay is part of house Skeletons which expands the amount of land that the house holds control over to both Das and Providence. This left Kace to be the new Arch Wizard as Orbay had to step down from the rank in order to claim his Das throne.
Lastly, new CZ is supposed to be starting that is to consist of mascots from original Club Penguin. Today Gary showed up. People were skeptical of whether this genius was CZ or not but then it turned out GARY'S GOT A GUN!!!
And thus concludes the news of February 1. I'm sorry I am so late with this, I was very busy today and didn't get home until late. I just got press today and this is my first news report so I will appreciate any constructive criticism that any of you may have and I hope that I can improve on my reports in the future!
