I've been struggling to come up with the right words to say about this whole situation, and I figured it would be best if I messaged Sled on my own time telling her how great she is.
I wanted to create a discussion that highlights the positive aspects of stuff I see everyday in this community.
To the Crime Office Team, thank you for welcoming me with open arms. Thank you for allowing me to make changes that will further benefit the team in the future. Thank you for putting up with me even when I nag you guys to do your summaries. Thank you for always being honest and confiding in me when you need to, and thank you for being there for me even when I need it; we've all got each others backs, and I love you guys so much.
To the Knighthood, and especially Brit and Randy, the system that you have incorporated with your Knights is honestly so cool, with regards to the ranking system and even the the 3 day training system is so complex and intricate. It is obvious that the Captain and the Commander work hard to maximize the potential of their Knights. I'm sure I can speak for most people when I say that training was one of the best things I've ever done, regardless of whether it was from a KC or an Imperial Knight. You guys need your rest, gonna be busy tomorrow with the south war!
To the Forums Staff, thank you for always being so quick to answer my questions if I ever have any (let's be honest the addons can be confusing sometimes). You guys always respond super quick whenever I ping you in the oldcp server, overall really chill people and I feel super comfortable asking you guys questions if I have any.
To the Oldcp Staff, it's been fun being with you guys for the past month or so. You guys really mean a lot to me and I'm super close with most of y'all which makes moderating even better. Today was so much fun in Jesah playing charades and doing a de-briefing, and I enjoy working with all of you. You guys are really good at your jobs and it's clearly evident with how you handle situations on Oldcp.
To the P3D Staff, I can't say much about you guys because I've literally only played once but when I came on, you guys were super nice to me and I love the Spanish users in that community, they're so cute and unproblematic. P3D is a really cool game and I really respect the amount of time and effort it takes to make the game look that good.
To Chelsey, thank you so much for believing in me, for always being a source of positive energy, and for always having my back. I'm so happy Damen decided to give you Database, well deserved and I know you'll continue to do great things in the future. You're an amazing leader and I respect you so much.
To Damen, man.. I know things have been rough for you lately, but I just wanted to say that I respect you so much. Coding is a skill I've tried to learn in the past but just gave up because I couldn't figure it out. It takes so much time to do, and I really respect you for that, for coming up with such innovative ideas that make the game(s) so much more enjoyable. You've dedicated so many years to this community and even though we've only spoken like 5 times, I really respect you man.
To Sled, even though you won't see this, thank you for teaching me that if I want something, I need to go after it, regardless of whether I receive the outcome I want. Before you left, I was beyond overjoyed when you said you wanted to take an interest in Crimezone, and told me that you respect the work that the Detectives and I do, it really meant a lot.. and over the past few days we've really developed a strong friendship. I speak for mostly everyone when I say that you've inspired me to do great things.. and my dms are always open if you ever wanna vent.
To the News Reporters, man.. I was News Reporter once, and I can say that it took me a GOOD hour at least to write most of my news reports. You guys are always on top of things and Dice does a great job as Chief Editor. I have not read one single bad news report, let me just say that.. you guys do such a good job, and if I may single out people. Loki, your news reports make crimezone SO MUCH easier to understand. I know I have the detectives doing summaries but I'm so glad that you inform the users on forums in great detail.. it really helps me out a lot so mad props to you.
To all the Island Rulers (past and present), I'm not gonna lie, I know these past couple months have been hard for you guys because crimezone revolves solely around the idea of "World Domination" and war. Thank you for being so strong, and not giving up, even when times are tough. You guys are all really cool people and each of you individually have done things to benefit the islands you represent and I know it doesn't seem like victory is close right now.. but there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.
To the Penguin Watch Team, and especially the SPWC and PWCS, I've always found the concept of PW super neat, an extra set of eyes when the mods aren't on, or are busy dealing with other stuff in the game. Lou, as SPWC, you've really done a lot for the Penguin Watch team and I respect your grind. Your ideas are so innovative and I really think a lot of people underestimate how important the rank of PW is. Thank you guys for setting good examples for users to follow and making the mods jobs a lot easier.
To the Wise Ones/Monks, thank you for always giving us wisdom at trials.. I don't see many of you guys often, but one thing I really liked was how Joseph added trial rotations, that was really neat. In the heat of the moment when Damen calls on you, or when you're asked to give wisdom at a trial, I know it may seem intense, but you guys always make sure justice is served and I love that.
To the Imperial Bank, especially Layla and Chis, thank you for always being on top of things.. making sure that everyone gets paid at the end of the month. The imperial bank dinner was a huge success and I 100 percent credit Layla for that, as that was a completely genius idea. You guys surpassed PLA Treasury by atleast 2 million so gg. I would love to see more events done to support the bank, they're super fun and enjoyable for all the users!
To the iOldcp Staff, thanks for making the game super enjoyable. I always look forward to Monday's because iOldCP is a game where everyone can get involved, and experience new ranks that they wouldn't have gotten the chance to experience on OldCP. The CZ on there is also 100 times better than it is on Oldcp which is a bonus.
Lastly, to anyone that I've wronged in the past or anyone that I have a really bad grudge against, I've learned today to be the bigger person and forgive & forget. I'm willing to move past all the issues that I have with people and I'm ready to start acting a bit more mature instead of putting on this "blatantly honest" version of myself who always feels the need to be right. It's petty and I'm really sorry about that.
At the end of the day, we all have a lot to learn.. and our relationships will take time to heal, but I just wanna say that you guys mean a lot to me, each and every one of you
