G'day everyone,
Long time no see... or should I say a long time without me creating an actual discussion here on the DSGHQ. Since I'm bored, and I literally have nothing better to do I felt compelled to reach out to this community out of curiosity, I'm simply curious to see how everyone is doing. So if you're also bored, feel free to participate in the discussion.
My Life Update: Since (not technically) leaving the DSGHQ I have had a ton of time to evaluate my life. I have realized certain things, experienced things, witnessed things, and felt an abundance of different emotions over the course of simply removing myself from being so engaged on here. Because of this, I feel like my mind is more open to things I previously had blocked away, and I would love to touch base on certain things. So here's are some things I would like to touch base on, some about my real life & some about OldCP/DSGHQ.

Because of this, I feel like my mind is more open to things I previously had blocked away, and I would love to touch base on certain things. So here's are some things I would like to touch base on, some about my real life & some about OldCP/DSGHQ.
- The Penguin Watch: Ah, the Penguin Watch. The small community of people I loved endlessly, and the rank I personally never thought I could let go of. Since no longer being the Senior Captain of this group of amazing users, I have realized just how much change is important. As Senior Captain, I reigned for years... and honestly, I drained out quite fast. My ideas, thought-process, and everything in between simply went away over time. However, I still loved the role. Now that I'm away from all of that, I would like to simply say that @CoffeeCow is doing a flawless job, and I want to congratulate her. From the tidbits of what I can see, the Penguin Watch is marvelous and I am super proud of all of them, simply wanted to touch base on that.
- Bailey: Honestly, the greatest thing that has grown substantially since I've been away has been my relationship with someone from this community, it is someone I can no longer see myself going a day without speaking with. Personally, I never really thought I would meet that many people from here if any... but that's changed. I have been lucky enough to meet Bailey a variety of times, and each time it is such a serotonin inducing period. Honestly, this is probably the biggest change in my life. I love Bailey, and he's literally the best person I have ever met. I will continue to cherish our small adventures (hikes), eat-outs, drives, and countless conversations/bondings. Bailey, if you're reading this I just want you to know how important you are to me.
- A New Job: Starting on the 24th of August, I will begin a new journey. I'm taking up a new job that is way more stable than my current job, and I look forward to it a lot honestly! Even though I'm a bit nervous, I know it is the right path for me at this given moment in time... and I can't wait to see where it leads me.
The moral of the story here is that everyone should attempt to take a break from here. I'm not trying to motivate everyone to get up and leave, but I urge people to take a break. In life, we become so customized to doing the same thing every single day, we become zombies practically. It is kind of sad that I was missing out on so many opportunities while I was engaged just here. I'm now 20, turned 20 July 19th (woo)... and since I have fallen inactive on here I can honestly say I have no regrets. I live in the moments, and I am always down to make memories. All of you have been here for so long, some of you have been here since my first days of joining (which is CRAZY). Therefore, I'd just recommend to all of you to live a little. Take a week away from here, or may just a few days, and come back and see how different things can change in your life.
With all of that said, I would like to conclude by asking everyone how they're doing. I feel like sometimes this community lacks communication between each user, and that's kind of sad. We only come together for events, parties, etc... why not come together more often? So to conclude all of this, I'd simply like to ask -- how are you doing today? Feel free to vent about anything new happening in your life, or even on here, tell me your thoughts on the DSGHQ, really just talk about anything! I just want to get a nice conversation going.
Always and forever,
Scott
