Forest Lords (also known as Ancients, Elder Ones) are a race of fictional multidimensional creatures who were created to be masters over various aspects of the fictional forest kingdom.
Forest Lords possess immense potential for power. They are capable of commanding the sea, the weather, gravity itself as well as creating their own forms of life. They are incredibly intelligent.
Famous members of the ancient forest lord race include, in order of importance and power:
• Melkor (His original purpose is unknown, he is only known as The Rebel)
• Tulkas (Gatekeeper and Guardian of the Universe)
• Accal (The Chosen One, Liberator of all life, Saviour of all things)
• Arien (Carer of Fire and Stars)
• Ulmo (Carer of the Waters)
• Mandos (Great Record Keeper)
• Vaire (Writer and Advisor)
• Orome (Protector of Wild Beasts)
• Vana (Carer of Animals)
Melkor, the most powerful of their kind, rebelled against God, desiring worship for himself. He, along with several other un-named Forest Lords, became evil and created a rebellion against the forest. Their goal was to turn the forest into a dark wood wherein Melkor would be the god.
However, after many thousands of years, the rebellion ended and the rebels were abolished by the faithful Forest Lords. Turin Turumbar, a form of Accal the Mighty, was the hero whom saved the forest from Melkor.
Forest Lords dwell in a higher dimension, one invisible to mortal kind. But these beings do sometimes create their own bodies to be seen in the world by mortal kind.
Powers
Forest Lords possess immense potential for power. They are capable of commanding the sea, the weather, gravity itself as well as creating their own forms of life. They are incredibly intelligent.
Unworthy of Worship
Despite their great power and high authority, none of them are worshipped. The forest lords will reject all kinds of worship since they point all praise and honor to God, the Almighty creator of all things.Original Purpose
