Is this even school?

an overly long story about two kids with mysterious things happening at school
Chapter 1: The phrase "you had one job" just won't die
Ah, school. A time of stress over nothing, wastes of paper, and being exhausted just from walking in to the building. Unless you're me. If so, the stress is definitely over something. My name is Dipper. The girl on my right about to puke is my sister Mabel. Why is she about to puke?
We're being chased by a giant, red, alien-shaped alien and trying to flee in a golf cart. You may be wondering what we're doing in a golf cart, fleeing from a creature of unimaginable horror. Rest assured, there is a perfectly "logical" explanation.
It all started when the two of us were SUPPOSED to be taken back home to our parents in California after spending the Summer at our uncle's tourist trap in the mysterious town of Gravity Falls. I'm not quite sure that's where we were taken.
When we got off the bus, the bus driver swore we were in California, although something about complete darkness everywhere and no shelter anywhere told me this was more like I don't know, the middle of nowhere.
Then we saw something. It contradicted my theory. The good news is that it certainly wasn't the middle of nowhere. The bad news is that it certainly was a much, much worse location than nowhere.
