Beyond the Meadow

24th July 2020

Take what you will, open-interpretation is what makes life special.

All seems well in your muggy meadow.
The thick fog clears your mind.
You’re happy with yourself, but lo!
Perhaps to yourself, you’ve not been kind.

Ignorance is the worst policy;
And push comes to shove,
You’ve drowned in your own sea
Of not knowing what of.

The tall grasses beseech you.
STAY WITH US FOREVER
You’re happy where you are,
With you own self-endeavor.

You know not what you need to do.
Well, maybe you do but not know how.
You try to leave but your mind subdued.
The meadow is lurking, you wipe the sweat off your brow.

Your blindness to the outside hurts you,
But you’ve become fond of not knowing how to see.
Your mind has been poisoned, and before you knew,
The grasses still beg for your plea.

how do i leave
what do i do
im not sure what
but at least i know i can trust you

And so, you live on in the meadow.
The fog still clears your mind,
Of all the things beyond your burrow,
The meadows keeps you blind.
