WHAT THE HELL

In the ancient days of the forest, peace existed between Orome The Huntsman, and his daughters Maria and Melody. Melody eventually took on Orome’s role as Forest Queen, with her divine beauty sent from above. Unfortunately, not all things stay graceful forever. One night, The Great Fire of Melkor projected itself down to Arda for the first night in years, peering down upon Frost Castle where royalty resided. There it saw two sparks of hatred, one of hatred, and one of jealousy. The furious flame decided to pick the path of hatred, as it sparked an evil future for The Forest, which at the time was suppressing the dark creatures of Melkor from The North and South. The flame said this: “Hoarmurath, choose the path of hatred and strike down your sister. Take this Ice dagger, and the Kingdom of the Forest will be yours.” Hoarmurath was confused, and questioned the flame, but the flame vanished before his very eyes, in the thrones of the Great Forest. He then certainly realized that it was The Dark Lord calling him to do this, although he would refuse to say his name, as I do. Hoarmurath approached his sister and Mairon resting together on the shores of Windell, looking on despicably. Then, Hoarmurath did the deed, stabbing the back of Melody with this dagger, killing her almost instantly. Cries would be heard from Windell that night, as an enraged Mairon would begin to slaughter all the Forest Boys, starting with Blizzard Fort, then Frost Castle, and then Stavhand. He was not merciful, sparing no Forest Boy in his path. Pythas then chased Orome to the Gold City, fighting him until Orome too died to Pythas. It is not known at this time if Orome is alive or not, or if he lives on in spirit. Nameless One saw these events conspire, as darkness leaked into the North, with Goblin settlers from Dorval burying themselves under the Great Northern Lake, so he said to all the creatures in the North this:
“Let the light of day never shine again on this once prosperous place, let it be as cold as Axel Island, until Mairon no longer breathes.” Then it was done, as snow piled and piled up upon the island, freezing The Great Northern Lake, trapping the Goblins under mounds of ice and snow. From then on, no settlers dared to enter the North, as it was seen as an uninhabitable land.
