Lament for good and bad

Beleriand - the night good and evil collided, annihilating everything in between

"Both our paths have lead us to this place. But now the time is finally here... all I want is another day." she said.
"Our lives feel like wasted time. A thousand years and more to spare, swallowed up in one sunset." he said.
"And I try, but it feels like wasted time..." she said.
"Let go and stop running. We can't stop now," he said. "Do you hear that sound?" he said.
She looked up at him, and she could see the weight of gravity pulling them down. A lonesome tear slid from her eye.
"I can't help crying. I won't look down again." she said.
He embraced her in the sun's last light. She could hear it now: his heart beating.
Falling in his arms, she shut her eyes.
