27th February 2016

Duke the snail continues his average life.

Peasant to Rich

I wake up to a bright morning, which is adding on to what I just recently experienced. The big crack in my shell tells me its a clear day, with no clouds in sight. It's a perfect day to take a stroll through the town, so I take advantage of this.I grab my patched hat, and head out the door.Surprisingly this Autumn day isn't very cold!As I start walking I notice the town bully, Clarkson. How I hate that Clarkson! He always picks on me, as I just wander by the Inn, minding my own business.
I have evil thoughts, glaring at that evil scum.I know I shouldn't be, but I just can't handle looking at him!We meet eye contact, which gives me a jump.I start backing up, but instead he removes his glare and pushes through the Inn door.Gah!I can't stand that snail! This time I can't control myself.Rapid thoughts of revenge slide through my mind, and I skim through all of them.

"CHARLES!!!" I shout in the air.

Charles is a recent friend I found who helped me, and now we're close friends.Charles is a very good scientist, even though he never went to Snail University. He knows how to brew potions in an instant!
I slide as fast as I can to Charles' shell.I push open the broken door, and there he is cooking up some bread with butter.Even though we both are just beggars, he and Barliman are good friends. He gets a lot of food.

"What ever is the matter Duke?" Charles asked quietly.

"I need you to mix up a potion that can change shell color!" I reply eagerly. "I want revenge on that Clarkson!I know this will work, because he always praises his shell!Make it brown, he always criticizes that color shell. He'll hate it!"

"Grr...Clarkson?I always despised Clarkson.I'm not one for revenge, but whatever to help my little pal." Charles angrily spits.

Charles manages to brew up the shell color in short time.Shortly, he hands the potion to me and warns me about the effects of it.I carefully take it and head by the Inn.Clarkson knows me, so I should probably get somebody else to do this for me.I glance to both of my sides before spotting my target, a average snail!

Time for revenge...
