Hello everyone! Today I will show you how to get Minecraft Mods.

What is a mod?
A mod is an epic feature that adds cool stuff into your game.

What's required?
Minecraft Forge,
Minecraft,
1.6.4 version.

Go on Minecraft. Let it load until you see this

In the launcher, you will notice a button at the bottom left that will say:

New Profile & Edit Profile

From there, you will need to press Edit Profile.

You will see a box-type thing that says: Use version:

Click the arrow going down, and scroll to where it says; "Use version 1.6.4"
Click "1.6.4" and press "Save Profile at the bottom right.

Then, simply click "Play"

Exit out of minecraft when it fully loads. You now have 1.6.4 stored in your "versions" file.

Make a new tab, or open up a browser, and simply type:

http://www.9minecraft.net/minecraft-forge/

It is where you get Forge.

Scroll down until you see:

"For Minecraft 1.6.4"


Then, press:

Installer (Jar)

Download from Server 1.

No worries! If it says "This type of file may harm you computer" It will not. I promise you. Would I let you guys have a virus?


Then drag the download to your desktop.

Right-click it, and press; "OPEN WITH

JAVA(TM) Platform SE binary

Notice: If you don't have JAVA it will not work. Download JAVA. If you can't figure it out, find a youtube video for further help.

Once you click that, A pop-up will show up looking like this Press OK and let it load. Soon, it will say "Done" or something like that.

Good! Now you have forge. Now, time for the mod.

There are many mod sites, But I like the website popularmmos.com.

Find your mod, download it, and drag it to your desktop.

MAKE SURE THE MOD IS FOR 1.6.4

Then, go to your search bar and type:

%appdata%

then go to:

.minecraft

Then go to;

mods

IF YOU DON'T HAVE A MODS FILE, CREATE ONE (NO CAPITALS!)

Drag the mod into the "mods" file.

Exit out of the files and everything, and open up Minecraft once more. Do the same process to get to 1.6.4 (Edit Profile---Use versions---- then scroll down until you see 1.6.4-Forge9.11.1.965)

Play minecraft and have fun with your mod!!
