Herobrine can take control of all minecraft animals around him, he uses them to kill you, and destroy your minecraft world. Herobrine is also a rare sight since you cannot really find him. He is like steve except he has white eyes. He is superstition and not a character in minecraft, he is supposed to be like a dead miner. Notch said he was never implemented into the game, it was revealed it was a prank to pull on other minecraft players.
