A stranger crept into the house. The girls woke up and thought it was mom. They saw a shadow in the cloak of darkness. The shadow didn't at all look like their mom. The girls saw the stranger walk into the bathroom. The girls tip toed out the back door and ran to the safety and backup place. "That was NOT mom" whispered Mack. "Did anyone else see him?" said Ali. "No." replied Madi. They got their canteen of water and had a sip. The stranger got into his van and drove away. "We're safe..?" said Mack. "Don't get me wrong, but was that dad?" said Mack. "Dad only comes home at 8:00!" said Ali. Ali called dad and he didn't answer. "He's on the golf cart now probably." said Ali. "WAIT!" Said Mack as quickly as possible! "I have a slight feeling that was Brooke! He or she has a green van, and Brooke has a green van! WITH THE SAME LICENSE PLATE!!!" added Mack. "You know.. that is suspicious." replied Madi.
