Strategies For Snow Ball Matches

Hi guys! So the new Snowball game was added to OldCP and this game is a hit. I really enjoy it to, since it gives people more to do than just talk and enjoy Club Penguin as it use to be. However, I have noticed that there seems to always be two types of people on the game. The first type, are people who really know what they are doing and constantly in competition for winning the match, which is great! However, the other half are people who are lucky if they get a kill at all in a game. So I want to help those people out, so we can all enjoy the fun and make the game a bit more competitive. Read on!
.) This one is arguably the most important, but instead of pressing the Snow Ball icon on the chat bar, make sure you're cursor isn't in the typing bar and press T on your keyboard. T is the button for throwing Snow Balls, and as soon as you press it the Snow Ball scope comes up. This allows you to throw Snow Balls and move around faster at the same time.
.) Never spam the Snow Ball while pressing T. Only every few Snow Balls get registered, even if you hit the guy a million times. Only Spam it if you are on very few lives and close to a kill, otherwise press a few every few seconds, to increase accuracy and also allow you to move around more.
.) NEVER stand still for more than 5 seconds. When you stand still, you make yourself an easy target for other players to hit you. It's much harder to hit a moving penguin, than one who is just standing there, throwing Snowballs at another penguin. I always either throw on the run while pressing T, or stop for around 3 seconds, throw maybe 5 or more Snow Balls, then run. Make sure you run around even more when you are low on lives.
.) Don't wait in rooms no one is fighting in. The Town and Plaza are easily the best places to get a lot of action. If you wait in rooms no one is coming in, you won't get any kills, and have no chance of winning the match. Always try your best to get to one of the popular rooms so you can get as many kills as possible. Remember, it's okay if you die and have to respawn.
.) Know who you are competing with. If you are doing really well in a match, odds are there is someone you are either right behind, or is right behind your tail. If that's the case, then make sure you don't let them kill you, because then you've put yourself at a really big disadvantage. If you are about to die, and one of the people who also has a good shot at winning is about to kill you, flee as fast as possible.
.) Avoid dying by glitches. Many of you have experienced the glitch where you can't move all of a sudden. Well, if you aren't moving you are an easy target as we talked about before. So if you find yourself stuck, press the map and go to an unpopulated room as quickly as possible. Then the glitch will be fixed, and you can return to the game.
.) When you enter a room, move away from the spawn point as fast as possible. Whenever you enter a room such as the town, you automatically spawn in the middle. A lot of times there will be one person constantly spraying Snow Balls at that one particular spot because people go straight there and can't go anywhere else for a few seconds. Make sure you try to give up as few lives as possible by moving quickly.
.) Join a good team. If you are a beginner, don't be a one man army. Although there are more people to kill, you also have no one support you when you are low on lives or need to finish off a high leveling player. If you don't know how to join a team, all you do is type this into the typing bar: "/js "Team Name" (NOTE: Some teams require a password to be entered)
.) Aim for people with lower live counts. Only kills count in the end, so don't try and go after someone who has 20 lives, over someone who has 3. The less lives, the better chance you have of killing him.
.) Don't "over hide." A common theme I see among players, is they will attempt to find a corner where they are covered up and can try and hide. Well, everyone knows piles of snow and trees don't throw Snow Balls so they are going to catch up pretty fast and begin firing. This is a very bad position to be in, because a lot of the time when you are hiding, more than one person is going to take aim at you and with you being such an easy target, it could be twice the lives lost.
.) Don't join too big of a team. You don't want to join a team that is 2/3rds of the server, because even though you have a lot of support now, you have hardly anyone to kill and you find yourself competing against your teammates which you want to avoid if possible.
.) Have fun and remember it's just a game! Don't let one bad game get to you! Just enjoy yourself and move on to the next round. Make the good moments count, and try to avoid rage if at all possible.
Of course there are more tips that I forgot to mention so...
