You can play minecraft on your tablet/phone, computer, browser, or xbox360. The tablet/phone versions are cheaper, but I don't suggest them.

You can minecraft from minecraft.net, but you must buy that, that is $20 It has a free download, but the download is terrible, it's very laggy.
You can get minecraft from tablet/phone, there the best one, but the update is very slow
