I have seen lots of people saying their thoughts on oldcp shutting down or whatever. I believe this is a very possible explanation.

As you know, in 2007 Disney bought CP from Rocketsnail otherwise (I think) known as Lance priebe. So even though we have lots of bad choices of parties, they have the right. Now, Disney has copyright on the game. So Damen took a big risk for US so we can enjoy the old days. Of course, unfortunately Disney are overpowering by money and copyright. Damen decided to do the right thing and shut down oldcp, because if he wouldn't Damen would go to jail . Damen has been very loyal to us and put the servers back up.

Moral of this useless discussion: DON'T BE MAD IF OLDCP CLOSES AND WAIT PATIENTLY. OLDCP ISN'T EVERYTHING.

Yes, Old CP isn't everything. I mean, everyone should have at least ONE THING to do in their life other than play Old CP 24/7. Like draw, sports, or hang out with friends. Since school is coming up, we're not gonna be on this all the time. Luckily, Snaildom is coming up so we have that to look forward to. Great explanation, Hash.

You know what you're correct. OldCP was fun,interesting,cool,wicked, and amusing but honestly why must we be so cruel, why can't we think about Damen for once? Honestly Damen made the right choice I believe we must be patient and wait for Snaildom which will be 100% better than OldCP and Club Penguin combined. Just be thankful we got the chance to play the game for 2011-2014. I agree with this discussion so much so wonderful job Hashir you are spot on with this discussion. +1

True. Damen's safety is worth more than Oldcp. Due to the fact that Disney strictly have full right to shut down Oldcp forever according to the law, we may see Oldcp closed for months.

I really agree with your post, Hashir! I am very sad about the short-lived v9.6 of OldCP, but we need to know that OldCP isn't life and that it isn't everything in existence. I'm quite tired of the drama. I'm really proud of Damen's work, but he did the right thing. I'm very excited for Snaildom, though!

Some people here act like old cp is there life. I mean honestly I play other games than old cp. I did not cry when it shut down. Which some people did...

I can tell you all right now OldCP will not be up forever. Snaildom is coming and it will not have copyright issues. Again, I rather see Damen out of jail then keep OldCP online.
