If you ever see Herobrine in a multiplayer world, it's probably a plugin or the admin trying to trick you into believing that it's real. Just like my experience when I was starting to learn this game.

If you see signs and/or clues of him in a singleplayer LAN world, most likely it will be just your friend trying to troll you. The code never included any intention of Herobrine, and they doubt that a future implementation will occur.

Nintendo yes Herobrine is fake yet, there are things called "Mods" which allow you to edit again. Therefore if you install the Herobrine mod it'll technically be Herobrine for real but you've just installed a program.
