OK, so I heard about this Minecraft badge and someone told me to make a post about Herobrine to get it. Well, here it goes.
Herobrine is a myth created by the Minecraft community intended to be a creepypasta sort of thing. Though, even if it never actually existed in Minecraft as a mob, it became popular and easily became one of Minecraft's mascot alongside with Steve, Notch, Jeb and most recently (in 1.8 ) Alex the girl being part of Xbox 360 edition skin packs, Minecraft Posters, Machinimas etc. It is also known that there is an account called Herobrine with the exact same skin (Steve without eyebrows) activated and also since the 1.6 beta release at the end of each changelog there is a line that reads '-Removed Herobrine'.
