Many of you have no clue what the Moderator's job is and why they have it. I will explain the job of a Moderator.
Moderator's Purpose On Old Club Penguin
The Moderators are just like you, except they have more power. They protect the island from violaters and people who consistently break any of the rules. They may be around your age as well. Ranging from 10-16 years old. The abilities they have on Old Club Penguin are being able to kick, ban, and I.P. ban. They kick people who break a rule once, then they ban them for doing the action again. If they feel the action they took was way out of proportion, then it may result in an I.P. ban.
They received this spot for being trusted, for helping others, for following each rule, and for being active. I am assuming that none of them that are Mods now have ever asked for the position. If they did, they would not be Moderators today. That is the Mod's job and why they have it.

Actually, CpManiac signed up on a staff needed announcement by Damen, so he kinda asked...he was very lucky...

Well, that is true and not true, but there were many many other applications, and Damen knew that I was trusted enough to become a moderator. So, I would not say I was very very lucky.
Also, I was chosen to be In-game mod without asking, so that would be the not true part. But, no one ever says anyone else can't become mod! You can look at the stats on the top bar, and it will show on the most liked post, from Hurricane How you can become a mod. But, this cannot help, because I have just seen from Tennis' latest post, that Cyberwolf said that there will be no more new mods, unless you are a mod. I hope this helped!
