Whenever moderators host events, all users think it is special. But suddenly, when users host things, no one could care less.
See this is what I mean. Moderators on Snaildom get extra love and everyone else is thrown aside like dirt. No mod is trying to do anything about it, which annoys me. Every user should be treated equally, and mods know that too, yet they do nothing about it, they just "let it flow." I'm not concerned about the choice of mods, they are all good choices, but the fact that when a user compared to a mod annoys me a lot. I can relate to an incident. 2 mods get married, same with 2 users. Everyone respects the mods wedding, and mods themselves add rules to it. Yet, when 2 users get married, no one cares and everyone just parades around. I think this needs to stop.

I agree with you completely. Moderators and users need to be treated with the same respect at all times. People must realize Moderators aren't any different then any other user so, they naturally should be treated the same. It annoys me too, Hashir when a user is compared to a Moderator. I feel that it might not be fair. Like Tennis said in one of the earlier comments.
That is what happens to me often too but, it's usually ma'am or miss. I usually correct them and tell them to call me by my usual name, Angi. I have seen this happen various times especially. Hopefully this will stop one day, and users will treat each person equally. Maybe this discussion will help, I predict it will.

I have been trying to stop this for a while now. People call me "sir" sometimes, I correct them and ask them not to.

Sometimes, even though I am not a Mod, people call me "Ma'am"
I tell them they can just call me May
But what annoys me, is that sometimes a Mod will summon someone, tell them to clear the carpet, but then kick them when they don't move.
If it is not breaking a rule, they should not kick.
