~The Legacy~

Snaildom... where can I even start? Snaildom was made in 2014 by Damen after many months of constructing it. Damen finally released the first news on beta-testing and the majority of the DSGHQ signed up. Damen had been so focused on Snaildom he took time away from OldCP for a bit. Snaildom was perfectly constructed and neatly organized. Snaildom had items, voyages (quests), and so much more. A legacy nobody or anything can replace.

Snaildom has recently been put into the "lost era" and as Damen once told me over Skype Snaildom had been turning into SnailDoomed. I just can't believe we're seeing another fantastic game leave us. To be honest it has seemed the same reason has always had to do with users not having fun on the game or something to do with users enjoying penguins on OldCP. To be honest this "lost era" label doesn't suit what the game is, and what it is to me. I wish we could of changed that sooner.

Now frankly news broke out that Snaildom is in fact shutting down by 5:00 PM EST. This news did sadden me, but it wasn't at all shocking. I always had a feeling Snaildom was reaching its final days and I believe some of us tried hard to make it stay, but frankly we didn't at all succeed on getting the attention of people. I will continue asking why, why does this have to happen simply because the game was extraordinary. It'll be truly missed by many of us.

Damen had worked so hard on the game and I sincerely want to thank him for the beloved memories. From the time he told me to go to his shell and asked if I would do the honors of Moderating, to the time when I use to bump into Damen and talk about new updates. Damen I admire the work you put into the game, and for how long you had kept it up. You have a big heart and an amazing talent. You'll move on to greater things I can highly assure you.

Snaildom as well contained amazing memories such as the Game of Kings when I partnered up with the grand critic Hashir, and when Cheep got Queen Regent, and Cyberwolf gaining King Regent of Snaildom. Who can't forget team Imperials? I mean so many memories had made up Snaildom and I wish there could of only been more to come. Thank you all for the beloved memories.

As we prepare to say farewell we must understand we had the game for awhile now, and it was up to us to play it or not. We could of made it into something more important, something magnificent, and something more loved than anything ever. I use to run into new users admiring the creation of Snaildom because there was nothing like it at the time, and still. Snaildom was a unique game and it reminded me of Snails-Chat but 100x better. Thanks for playing with us.

In conclusion allow me to say this legacy wont be filled, nor perfected as it was already nearly perfect... it just needed one more thing to finish it. That one more thing was love of users. The sense of users having fun, playing games, and expressing themselves. The lack of users has caused the upset of Snaildom therefore we must say farewell. Thank you Damen for letting us enjoy such a fantastic game. We truly appreciate your work. Farewell Snaildom.

It really saddens me too to see Snaildom go. The game was well made and the features that it had, oh god. It is pretty hard to explain how good the game was made up to be. I will miss it and we made some memories there to remember forever. I liked snaildom and the concept of snails was a pretty neat idea of Damen, but, once Oldcp came back users tend to go on Oldcp more and no one to be seen on snaildom then. So when that happened there was no one online // no one to talk to and the catalogs weren't updated which made users leave it for good, But, I reallyyyy loved Snaildom and I hate to see it go.
