Opinion one: Child beauty pageants improve a girl's self-esteem. Beauty pageants make little girls feel good about themselves. If they win they feel like the queen. It teaches girls good sportsman ship.

Opinion two: Beauty pageants promote an "unhealthy" body image and prefer looks over anything else. It is teaching girls that the way they look is more important than their personality. It could cause them stress, pressure, and breakdowns. The only confidence that a young child needs is to gain is eating on her own, standing up on her own and the confidence that her family loves her.

Ban them. To be honest they're an act of using a child to look like a clown.

Toddlers and tiaras sickens me. There just like, "My daughter needs to be perfect and needs to have tons of makeup on." Seriously!? Everyone is beautiful in their own way.

Ban them now! They should be banned cause beauty pageants mean makeup. Kids shouldn't have a lot of makeup on and they could end up looking like some weird clown at the fair. When I was about five I wanted to be in a beauty pageant but there's nothing to them but makeup and trying to look amazing.

Honestly, I think they should ban them. Toddlers and Tiaras sickens me. Beauty does not really matter and it's personality that counts. You don't have to be beautiful to have an amazing personality. So yes, I think they should ban them.

Ban it! Based on beauty pagents, kids when they get older, could start bullying people because they think they are better than everyone else. I personally know someone in my class, who thinks they are better than everyone else.

I would say ban them because its teaching kids that looking beautiful is more important than life.

That sorta crap should be thrown in the bin.
Especially Toddlers and Tiaras.
That show should go to hell for what the parents put on their girls.

What are they trying to place on their little girls? That they have to be pretty to be perfect?
I seen the parents FORCING them to do what they want, like put on fake eyelashes and fake hair.
Are they trying to think that their little girl isn't beautiful already?

They are not barbie dolls. Parents should know that.
Stop ruining them.
