What's wrong with Grammar?

Today I am sharing my first debate, and I hope it goes out smoothly (no arguments or fights, haha). Here it is:

Should we judge users just because of grammar and spelling?

You might be wondering why I asked this question. Well, it's because lately I've been seeing users on forums that use grammar and spelling incorrectly, but still are understood by many. Now here is my opinion:

In my opinion, no, we shouldn't. I don't know why, but some users just judge other users that use sentences with all lowercase letters, all capital letters, unnecessary capitalization, etc. as if they know nothing. You know you can understand them perfectly, and I can too. Let me give you some examples with the same sentence:

- Oh That Is So Cool Thank You For Telling Us This +1

- oh that is so cool! thank you for telling us this, +1!

- Oh, that is so cool thank you for telling us this +1

Obviously, none of these are correct. The correct sentence would be:

- Oh, that is so cool! Thank you for telling us this, +1!

Another thing that upsets me is that some users that have the requirements for any rank AND are trusted CAN NOT earn any rank at all just because of grammar and spelling issues. Don't you think that's unfair? Well, yeah, maybe they made a simple error in a mood , post, or in their about me, such as saying too instead of to, or writing your instead of you're, blah blah blah. But that doesn't prevent the fact that they can't achieve that rank. They might not get Moderator, but why can't they just get Master instead? Since Masters pretty much are like members, only they have some more achievements and experience than members.

Well, that's just my opinion based on this. Question is, what's yours?

In my opinion, we shouldn't. We should never judge users just because they're grammar isn't as good as ours. They might be little kids! +1

Even Moderators don't have perfect grammar or spelling. I mean, as long as you can understand what they're saying, that's all that matters.

we should never judge users. i use lowercases a lot because most of the time i get lazy. judging someone by grammar is really the stupidest thing to judge over. besides looks. anyone can use grammar the way they think they should and not let others affect it.

But I mean, whenever I make a typo there are a hundred people repeating it in a mocking sort of way. I don't know where that started, nor do I like it. I can admit I did it in the past, I don't do it much now

Nobody has the best grammar. In pm's and application, everyone said I need to change my grammar.

Yeah, I believe grammar isn't really important in Oldcp or Forums. Not everyone is perfect and can get their grammar spot on. Sometimes we make mistakes. Thank you for posting this.

I do find it annoying when people correct you if you make a simple typo or known as mistake. I do that sometimes but I'm starting to stop it because I see it to be very annoying. Anywho, judging users based on grammar is kind of pushing them. As long as you can understand them it's fine, but they could be 7-8 year olds. I do not blame them because they are just learning.

Well, in games especially, grammar is not needed. This is why, most users don't even want to use good grammar. That is definitely ok!This is the time, to get your mind out of school. But I , personally , try to use my best grammar. People do judge at times, this is why. Also, I like to make it easy for users, to understand me. Great post!

Judging people is wrong. Many people judges me on my grammar, it makes me sad.

This is perfectly explained and I agree to this. There should be a grammar policy where your grammar is PP (Partially Proficient). Thanks for telling us.

Yea when your on oldcp and someone on the other side of the room corrects you then they say I just had too. But then a few minutes later they make a grammar mistake but don't care?
