Heading to Broadway



Chapter 1




Hi, my name is Brooklyn. You can call me Brook. I live in Miami Florida. Here's the bad news. I have lung cancer, with only a month to live. I know it's sad. But I don't like to think about it. My last wish is to be on Broadway. I want to be an actress. People say it's impossible for me, but I don't believe them. Someday, I will be on Broadway.





"Brook, wake up!" Mom said.



"Huh?"



"We have to be at the hospital in an hour!"



"For what?" I asked.



"They are going to check to see if you have any tumors."



"Again?"I sighed.



Today was a rainy day, so I had to go put on my raincoat, and boots. I slowly buttoned up my raincoat, and slipped on my boots. Today is going to be a long day. It only took about 10 minutes to get there, so we had some spare time. After a while the Dodgers finally took me in.



"Alright Miss Brook, put this hospital gown on," the docter said.



I slipped the gown on, and got into the machine. I had to close my eyes, because the light in the machine was so light. I heard the docters gasp. This can't be good. After I got out of the machine, I saw my mother crying.



"She seems to have 3 whole tumors!" the docter told my dad.



Then he told my dad something else. And that's when I figured out I only have a month to live.
