I'd like to discuss about one of the new features on the DSGHQ, the Related Profiles feature (because the Help Tickets are actually really good). You want to know my opinion, right? Two words: it sucks. Yes, I am delighted to say that! And why did I say that? Alright, here you go.1) There's a bunch of different people you don't know on there. This is the reason why we should choose who goes on our Related Profiles section. What if that person is like a well known user and has inappropriate account names on there? Um... 2) You're revealing a Moderator/Admin ability. Haha, it's funny how Rookies+ now get to look at what Moderators+ see.
3) The past. Maybe someone created an account from like 2014 that got banned or is innap, etc. and has a high rank now, does that look nice on you? No it doesn't.
I don't hate the Administators or anything, but like, this is horrible. The forum was better without Related Profiles to me. And it could be because you were using Puffin or a VPN, but still you can do much better. The question is, what's your opinion based on the Related Profiles? Don't be afraid to say so.

What do you mean by this? Moderators do get to see an IP log, but this isn't revealing their IP, only an account. It's not like it's giving away all of their personal information.

Though, I do agree that it is a bit of a privacy concern, maybe there are some accounts people do not wish to see on there. I think a suggestion would be to first, take related profiles off the profile page and make it into a button you can view, also, to have the ability to remove accounts you do not wish to see on there.

The accounts that are on your profile are because you have either used puffin or a proxy. I think this is helpful to he staff AND the users, to tell if someone is faking another and/or just to see who is related/friends/whatever. This isnt a horrible idea, I think its a perfect idea. This should be a help ticket or a PM to an admin, because this does not seem like a debate, it seems more of a personal issue from my point of view.

I don't think this is a issue only a few people have, most of the people here are concerned about their privacy and I don't think this feature makes them feel any safer. We don't know everyone here perfectly and well I think this feature should be removed, before it causes much drama or problems. Besides that, staff should only be able to use this feature anyway, and that also when they need to for important reasons. Oh and also it would be better if you could choose who you want to put on related profiles, as it would be your choice, and not in the who lives near each other way, like if you are friends you could put their profile in the related profiles section. My opinion.

Like what I said before I think this,

This was most likely made for staff members to see what accounts users have "related"; being same ip and other stuff, to their account. So, I think there should be a way to disable it from regular users seeing the usernames. Also there should be a button on the INFO area where mods; or higher only, should be able to see the button and press it. It would say something like, View Related Profiles. I think that could fix it, and still keep the original use for the update. Idk.

I agree, Skittles. I know who lives near me, and that's not okay. I don't want to know that information, and I don't want others to know that information. It should be removed.

i agree with all your reasons as well as some people have over 100 linked accounts and its not very organized to me.

Sarah showed up on my profile for no god damn reason, either the related accounts system is messing things up or they think we are the same?
What if private information/embarassing accounts show up? I dont want random people/friends showing up on my profile.

I have mixed feeling about this. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. I like it because it shows you some accounts that are yours, or that you used. I dislike it because there is a bunch of fighting over it, and what people above are saying.

This is a personal issue since I have lots of accounts that I used before, sadly, my house has only one computer, so a bit of my siblings used the DSGHQ before I became active. And once, I went on an open account in 2014, that namely is Lylance. I agree, I don't like it because it causes me much shame tbh.
