It was a task to hack access to a VPS and after 40 minutes the information was finally cracked by Abushekaus. He had gained access by using the SSH protocol with basic root username and the predictable password 'ponies' as indicated on the homepage of the IP. (It was a pony website)
Abu changed the password so nobody else could get in and changed the index file to say he had hacked the VPS. Sadly the VPS was knocked offline when Cyberwolf flexed his botnet and DDoS'ed the hell out of the website... which was as un necessary as it was funny.
Well done Abu!
Sled was the first to be fired from the competition... only because he tried to get help from a none candidate but still did a good job at trying to figure it out. Sorry Sled! Tip: The SSH protocol was type 2 only!
Next Week!
Get ready to do some basic HTML coding!

Honestly seeing these competitions make me very proud to be part of the DSGHQ. What other community owner do you know of that would offer things such as this? Damen is literally vowing his time and devotion to somebody that may or may not fully work properly with him, but he does it out of pureness. He's giving outstanding education to those wishing to do things in the coding world, I mean he's even teaching you basic HTML coding (soon). I can assure to whomever works hard to get to the finals and wins I want to congratulate them on being motivated the whole game through. Awesome results Damen!
Sincerely,
-Sadie

This was a great task, to prove if people could handle security of websites! I hope the next stage goes well! I think Abu would be a good winner?! Good to Abu, and everyone else competing in the competition! I am sad that Sled was fired from the competition... It would have been cool to see Sled win!
However, I guess someone has to be fired.... :c

Well I enjoy that, but I don't think it's very crucial since if you're actually trying to start a small company, the last thing you want to do is make it responsible for an illegal act.
