Hello, today I would like to discuss a letter that the founders of Club Penguin have written to their community. I have found this on the Archived version of the Old Club Penguin Website, The Way Back Machine. The letter describes what is going to be happening to their website, in the future (Disney partnership).

Read The letter: https://web.archive.org/web/20071015000718/http://www.clubpenguin.com/news.htm

What do you think? Do you think this was the right step for Club Penguin or the wrong step?

I think it was the right step because they wanted the best for their community and they wanted to make the game more fun, however it went in a horrid step, called "NewCp". Thus making it the worst decision Club Penguin has made. I think Club Penguin was honestly "tricked", I do not think they would have changed Club Penguin to what it is today, it seems they wanted to be able to allow people from other countries play/people that speak Spanish and other languages. And for their community to grow, they needed to money and support. Perhaps they were in a financial struggle, and gave ties to Disney. Disney owns Club Penguin now? I do not think thats what the founders wanted, remember how many of the original betas of Club Penguin subsided from playing? Interesting, Perhaps they do not like the game. -Its not original?

What do you guys think? Do you think it was right for Club Penguin to make ties with Disney? And to make Club Penguin the way it is today?

Yes? No? Reply with what you think.

I think it was a clever decision to specifically hand it over to Disney in that is very possibly one of the if not the wealthiest children's companies and they're able to remain running it far into the future, most likely.
