Far in the east there were the travelers. These few men, void of shelter, had set out upon the crooked, wailing ocean, to find a home. They had long in the old island that the Higher Beings had created for them. However, those Higher Beings had long left. There was a great palace there, but these men did not desire luxury, they desired knowledge of the world around. So they left. It is long said that leaving the great land of Lyspia was a grave mistake, for as they left the great golden land, their memories of that place faded as did the blissful waves, thrashing upon the sand of her shores, and by the time they had fully come out of view from that place, so did their fallen minds. That was short lived.

The captain of this crew was Rodien. Rodien was valiant, and the others of his crew recognized him as such, the only reason they followed him. Rodien desired one thing, and that was to find the other lands out upon the shores. He named his ship "Immortalis". This name was only given to this schooner after the long great journey that awaited he and his crew upon it. Upon leaving Lyspia, the sea was the only thing that greeted these men. But they did not envy Lyspia. They had nearly completely forgotten of Lyspia altogether. It's history, it's memories, their own childhood, all was forgotten except the journey they awaited.

As for Lyspia, the higher beings grew angry. The men were told very sternly that no one was ever to leave Lyspia, lest they had a final wish for death. Among the highest of the beings were Siugna, Supul, Suvrec, Surdyh, and the most feared, Sinani. However, by the men, they were simply called by what they controlled. The Snake, The Wolf, The Stag, The Hydra, and The Void. They were strange beings. They had the power to become what they controlled, and often were very large and towering over the men. And the men feared them, and followed them closely.

But Rodien began a new legacy, not one of just men, but of the Earth itself. The men, at this time, had been running short of food, as they had gone many days at sea with no others to be found. And they searched, and searched, hoping and begging for food. Out of the 13 of them that sailed, already had 5 of them become ill. So Rodien and his other men continued sailing, searching far and wide for food. And they came to a small island after many days, and boarded. Rodien and his strongest men came out upon the island, and they saw that the island was filled with swine, and the swine were fat and numerous. So the men, who had not but swords, searched on the island, slaying the swine, and preparing them for food. But Rodien met a different fate.

Rodien found the fattest swine, who lived far out from the others, eating away in their own grove. And Rodien chased the swine, in hopes that he would obtain the best and richest meat for himself. But the swine was fast, and strong, and after many hours of chasing the swine, he grew weary and came to the grove to rest. However, the swine were not what Rodien first perceived them as. This island was the island that men, much like Rodien's crew, had come to rest, and upon eating the swine, would slowly be cursed to turn into swine, and would eat, in anxiety and confusion, for they were no longer the strong men they had once been, and could not end themselves of their pain, so by having the men kill them and eat them, they could finally rest their wicked souls and be long forgotten by the rest of the world.

But Rodien was swift awoken by the screams of his men, claiming that the 5 who had hungered the most had become swine. And Rodien trembled. But it was much too late, for those men had already become swine, and left behind their clothes and their items, and ran upon the land in a never-ending torture simply by living. But Rodien was not so willing to give up this pursuit so soon, and began searching the island for the 5 men. He however, only found one man, who was covered in a very interesting armor. Upon investigating, he found that this man was a shepherd. Rodien pursued this man, and asked him,
"You are here alone?" But the shepherd did not listen to Rodien, and simply sat near his sheep, hiding his face. Rodien asked again,
"What are you doing here? Do you own these swine?"

And to Rodien's misfortune...
The shepherd replied.
"Yes. I own these swine. I owned these swine long before, and I have become their shepherd again."
Then, the shepherd rose, and his face was shown. The shepherd was indeed handsome, though upon his face was a great scar than ran across his eye. And it was then that Rodien realized his mistake, however, it was long overdue for him to abscond.
"Now you have understood what you have done, blissful cur, have you not?"
And before Rodien's very eyes, the Shepherd began transforming, and he became a large, bloodstained, gigantic, towering wolf. And Rodien ran. It was feeble, however, for it was too late for him to run. It was too late for him to call. And the Wolf caught up to him, picking him up with it's large bloodstained teeth, and shaking him around, similar to how a modern dog would chew it's own bone, and threw Rodian like a ragdoll into a tree, leaving him breathless, holding on to his life with what little he had left. It all happened so fast. Rodien could not cry, he could not run, but he sword was at his side, and he rose, and he pointed his blade at The Wolf, and prepared for battle.

The Wolf was astounded, and said,
"Is it that you desire a valiant death? Do you value your pride, ignorant mortal? Or is it simply that you have lost your head, due to your wounds."
But Rodien walked ever onward, and he got right near The Wolf, swinging his blade at him. But The Wolf simply swatted at Rodien with it's paw, knocking him over, and then picked him up once more, tossing him into the air with it's mouth, and opened it's great mouth to consume him.

But Rodien held onto his blade, and through his own resolve, he stabbed his iron blade downwards as he fell, and The Wolf suddenly felt a sharp, terrible pain in it's mouth, and tossed Rodien aside, screaming, growling in anger, destroying the landscape in a frenzy. And Rodien's men heard this, and came to Rodien, finding him, and taking him back to the ship. They had lost hope for their 5 men, and they escaped promptly, not eating anything but a few natural fruits they managed to find within the thrush.

And The Wolf cried aloud, louder, begging the other Higher Beings for aid. And though The Hydra had already been well prepared, far into the great land they soon would find, The Stag heard this plea, and prepared his own snare similar to The Wolf's. The Swine, who was an apprentice to The Wolf, eventually removed the Iron Blade from his throat, though it would take The Wolf many long years to recover.

Rodien, their greatest warrior, had been wounded greatly from his battle with The Wolf, and of the remaining men, Cysero was the next to take the leadership, and he hoped to heal Rodien, as Rodien had taken them this far already.

Cysero took control of the ship, and it could be seen from afar that there was a storm coming overhead, though Cysero needed to make sure Rodien could survive his wounds long enough to be healed fully. He came in close to another land, and this land was much closer, and larger than the other island they had come upon. It appeared that the storm's winds would push them closer to this land, however, and instead of attempting to turn back to the island they had left, for shelter, Cysero and the 7 others charged forwards into the storm.

The sea ran higher than the ship, and the decks were being filled with water. The rain, pouring down ever faster, the dark clouds. It was a terrible storm, that only got worse the closer they came. But Cysero didn't care, and he kept going. And the deck was creaking, the ropes were snapping, and the wheel was like a saw blade, but he continued. His arms bleeding, the storm got worse and worse, to the point that 3 of the men, who were emptying the ship of it's water, fell out of Immortalis, and were left behind. Cysero eventually came close to the island, and the ship could take no more. The ship, in the middle, hit a great rock, close to the land. But Cysero continued. The ship cracked, splitting open, just in the middle, and the back of the ship eventually broke off, and the sail flew away like a small paper in the wind, and the great mast crashed downwards, but Cysero continued. The lightning began striking, the closer they got, the front of the ship was soon to turn upside down, by Cysero still held the wheel. The men screamed at Cysero, telling him that it was over, and that he was to give up steering, and that The Hydra's resolve was much greater than his, but he did not let go of the wheel. The ship could take no more. What was left of it, was only floating above the water because of the great amount of wind, and it was finally sinking under, and they were so very close, and the men could not anchor, for their anchor had been left. But Cysero held his ever firm grasp on the wheel. His hands bled, his arms were gushing blood, but he continued onward, until the ship crashed into the shore, breaking it into little tiny pieces, and Cysero and the other men fell upon the shores of the island, still holding Rodien, and they managed to finally get on the island. And Cysero came. He was holding the wheel of the ship, broken off from what was left of the ship, and continued into the island, finding their shelter within a cave that came close to the shores. It was never known why Cysero held onto the damned wheel, but some believe that it was to fulfill the promise that was engraved upon the wheel; the promise that read "Immortal."

Eventually, they managed to bring Rodien back, bandaged, though he was still ill. And though the great storm was finally over, Rodien stayed inside of the cave, resting, as well as Cysero, who was weary after the daring trip through the storms. Now Marius took control of the remaining men. 2 of them being Rodien and Cysero, and the other 3 were Marius, Sarkis, and Justus. Marius was a great warrior, swift and strong, but he lacked in many other aspects. Sarkis was a craftsman, and had the skill to build and repair promptly. Justus was not as skilled as the others, but he was rather clever, and loyal, and held his morals close.

These 5 men were the first to set foot upon the Land of Amar, and their troubles would forever be remembered. That was much later, however. For of the current moment, the 3 were on this strange land, where they searched for food, but to no avail, there was nothing. No animals, no fruits, nothing but clean water. However, in their search, they found The Forest. It was not far from where they had landed, as it seemed that this island was not simply one island, but an archipelago. The Forest was the mainland, the only place worthy of being called a "continent", at the least. Sarkis helped craft a small raft, and idea that Justus suggested, and they came to the mainland. The ominous fog that surrounded the island filled their eyes, and they could not see but a few feet in front of them. They continued onwards, Marius holding his blade firmly, when from the darkness, they found a stag. One singular stag, and a luxurious stag, that ran quick, and they stopped and had Sarkis create a bow that they would give to Marius, to shoot the Stag, so they would have a nice source of meat. And he prepared the bow, The Stag sitting still, eating of the grass, but the moment he shot the arrow...The Stag was gone.

And it was then that Marius and the others realized their mistake, for what had instead been hit by this arrow was a man, who pulled the measly arrow out of his armor, and continued toward them. Saying nothing. It brandished a large, fearful blade - a broadsword, covered in gems, and would appear as though it were golden. Marius prepared his own sword, as it seemed that whoever was there was a threat, and Sarkis and Justus stepped away, preparing their blades. And when The Stag came close to them...it raised it's sword right at Marius, and though Marius blocked with his own blade, both the large iron broadsword and his head were sliced like a Kitchen Knife on a Leaf.

Sarkis and Justus feared for their lives. The Stag was a powerful being, something they had never seen before, and they ran, in hopes of escaping. But The Stag went into his Stag Form, and caught up with them, and though Justus was quick enough to run, Sarkis was the one to meet his death, as The Stag did not use his blade, but instead punched a hole right through Sarkis' torso, and kicked him over, dead. Turning back into his Stag form to chase Justus.

But Justus had an idea, and as he ran, he grabbed the bow that Sarkis had made. Sarkis was a good craftsman, and took thought into his works, and this bow was strong. He strung an arrow, and continued to run. The Stag eventually caught up to him, turning into his human form, and striking at Justus' head, but Justus ducked, and continued running. The arrow now fully pulled back, Justus turned just as The Stag, in his Stag form, got close to him, and shot an arrow to it's neck. The Stag had been running too fast to transform into it's man form again, and the arrow stayed within it's neck, and The Stag ran away, leaving Justus, though Marius and Sarkis had fallen.

Justus eventually found fruits of the Forest, and then ran away swiftly, but taking the Golden Broadsword that The Stag had left behind in his swift pursuit. Taking both back, he sailed back across the waters, and returned to Cysero and Rodien with enough food to supply them for a few nights, and told them of Marius and Sarkis. Now, however, Rodien took the Great Bow, and Cysero the Golden Broadsword, and though it was time to leave this island, Cysero decided he wished to stay, and challenge the might of The Stag, and kept the wheel of Immortalis forever.

Now Rodien and Justus were all that were left, and they used the small boat that Sarkis had helped prepare before his unfortunate death, and they went off, towards a mainland that did not seem far. However, they had not known what was waiting for them, for there, The Hydra rose, and it's 3 great heads searched the waters for them, giving out it's great roar. And it found them, Rodien and Justus, and Rodien prepared the bow, but Justus knew what was to happen, and he instead kept the small boat going, until they reached the mainland, where The Hydra found them with ease, and consumed Justus, the 3 heads pulling him apart, piece by piece, into a bloody mess in the sky. But Rodien stood, the last of his men, and The Snake came to him, and denied The Hydra to attack Rodien. And The Snake took Rodien to the land of the Snakes, which was named Aras. And there Rodien was nursed by The Snake, and little did The Snake know...Rodien would leave a lasting impression upon himself and Aras alike.

Thanks! I'll be writing a summary for every chapter, so you don't really have to read it all if you don't want.
I actually based it around a little bit of the OldCP lore, taking a few things I thought were interesting from it.
