Full title name: Petition to Remove the Northern Blockade

Over the years, ever since the Northern Blockade was added to OldCP, it has gotten a lot of flack because of one reason. It has been making users take time to get into the North, and I think we had enough of this. The only way you can get into the North is by pulling a lever.

Let's say you wanted to go to Providence to get some nice kyber crystals or something, and you're just logging in. You would have to pull the lever, yeah? You could also be in a fight, and you would have to relogin because your health got low. You would have to waste precious time to get back into the action, or you might just miss it. I think that the Blockade could just be any other normal room, you could just do /jr northblockade if you REALLY wanted to see it. I think you should be able to just go to the room that you want to go to, as long as it is on the same island. (North and South are on the same island, islands like Providence aren't).



So, if the Blockade was to be changed in some way, what would be positive about the change?
- Spend less time traveling to places
- Get back into action up North faster
- Get to places quicker
(There are probably many more reasons)

Since Orbay, the KOTN has always wanted the ability to close the border to the north.

I think the border should be used in the case that the KOTN wanted to close the border entirely, and not allow anyone in, but as Naii said, the blockade just makes it take longer to get to the North, and is the reason people started using lannisbay instead of shipyard. Also, the KOTN shouldn't even have the power to entirely close the northern border without people still being able to get in, because the KOTN could just close the border, and make it impossible to war them, which is also not fair since it's an ability no other island ruler has.

If the KOTN did that, I would allow the enemy to destroy the barrier and open it by force.
