As Moderators of OldCP.biz, it is our duty to remain mature and professional, as we resemble the community. We must uphold the community values and enforce the rules. There is no time for messing around, as our only task is to moderate the rooms and watch for rule-breakers. We only wear the colors black, gray, and white. Colors are too vibrant, and we are serious. We show no emotion at all. Dancing is not professional. Sitting on the floor is not professional. Standing on buildings is not professional. We watch from the ground and spread our professionalism throughout the community.

Always remember as well that smiling is absolutely not to be tolerated from moderators. Smiling is totally unprofessional and is not allowed. Must be 100% serious all day every day. And absolutely no laughing. Moderating is no laughing matter and laughing while on the job is incredibly disrespectful to the profession and the community you are serving. You must stand up straight, hands at your side, with no smiling and no facial expressions whatsoever or so help you, Swirlie will rain down fury upon you and it will not be pretty.

Indeed, you are correct, Citizen EbonJaeger. Showing emotion as a Moderator is heavily frowned upon. We must always remain serious when moderating, and we cannot let our emotions distract us.

Agreed. Also what are emotions, Head Moderator Swirlie? Citizen EbonJaeger is not familiar with this term.

I am quite unsure myself. From my vast knowledge and wisdom, I assume that emotions are the state of being "happy" or "sad". I however do not know what these feel like.

Us moderators are unsure with this term of "emotion". We just know we must act seriously at all times. It is our duty to remain calm and focused while moderating.

Interesting. I also do not know what they feel like. We must conduct research so that this information may be present in our memory banks- I mean brain matrixes.

This term perplexed me as well, so I took it upon myself to conduct research. Due to this analysis, I simply referred to the Dictionary. An emotion is officially defined as “a natural instinctive state of mind deriving from one's circumstances, mood, or relationships with others” (Oxford Languages). While it is baffling I have never personally undergone a so called “emotion”, I prefer Moderators and Citizens of OldCP has a whole to be rigid, distant, apathetic, and overall phlegmatic as I feel it assists in unbiased, professional moderation.

As a Moderator, you are also not allowed to have “friends.” Friends are for regular penguins and that is frowned upon by the Administration.

Thank you for bringing this up, Moderator Jay. I hope that citizens will understand us better now that this has been brought to their attention. Many citizens think that they have what it takes to be a Moderator but they do not because they lack professionalism, find colors aesthetically pleasing, experience emotions, and have obtained friends. The world is all black and white, there is no grey.

Indeed, Administrator Sled. It is hard, but necessary. The community values must be upheld with the most professionalism possible.
