After seeing what has gone down today, the ONLY sense of collectiveness you guys exceed in showing is when you spread hate onto one another, especially when it's targeted at Damen.

People need to understand that Damen having to address every single request he gets is like a ratio of 1 person : 10+ requests ongoing. Being a 'Game Developer' is his life ambition and you guys are treating it as if he's a vending machine giving out food. Taking 0 accountability for his tiredness, mood swings and life experiences.

I find even as an artist, when people ask me to do a commission for them, I have to put them on hold until I finish a previous drawing and as Damen has said in his video, its hard to deny someone. You guys are literally what is supposed to keep him going.

You wanna know why people give up? You wanna know why those people with the quotes above quit? Because of h-a-t-e. I guarantee every user who has quit including myself, has mentioned stress in their posts and its merely because the community is always highlighting someone's flaws. It was so childish the amount of people I saw disliking Damen's post and Eugee's post (THAT WAS ABOUT POSITIVITY) over something that could easily be adjusted. Hate just leads to more hate.

Years from now, you guys will come face to face with the feeling of putting your all into something, only to get harshly put down for its imperfections. Take my word, because I go through it all the time in every art critique I have. The feeling hurts! It lasts for hours, days even!

That brings me to the question in the title, can you change? Your attitudes and DSGHQ experiences with a person aside? Break this chain of resorting to negativity and treat someone like a human being for once? If you can't put up with it on here, then all I've got to say is good luck in the real world!

I stopped posting since earlier because I didn’t want to discourage either side once I saw what had become. I appreciate both people in this foreign situation and I think the bitterness won’t do anything. I can appreciate damen for all he does because this is a passion of his and he wants to do what he can when he can, but needs to enjoy himself as well. I’m not here to just kiss his ass, I said good things about sled and stick up to what I said. They just need to make up eventually, because hatred does nothing but degrade people and I see that sled is already trying to get back to the way it was, and it’s heartbreaking honestly. I hope everything is okay, and that both parties forgive each other.

Sometimes in the real world there are consequences for our actions that ruin relationships, but this shouldn’t be one of them.

Some people wish they could have what they used to, and thinking negatively won’t progress them any further as a person. But I’m there for them in sad times and in good times. We all just need a little love to give to each other.

People give hate and then are surprised when they get backlash.

Plenty of people including myself and Frogs and others have all been mistreated by either staff or the community and then when we get angry and try to retaliate we get punished immediately, even though someone else did the same thing.

Do you think I have time to report everything someone does? Most of the time I don't care. I play this game for the crimezone and then everything alongside it just makes me insanely angry.

I will admit, 2 wrongs don't make a right, and I'm willing to forgive Sled. However, she deserves punishment, harsh punishment, since her argument was that Frogs and I had done things over the course of a while, and ruined our chances? She's ruined PLENTY of hers. She overpunished people and therefore she deserves the same treatment.

This whole "you say something about Sled I delete" is really goddamn stupid as well. People can literally constantly complain about everything I do and they get rewarded. Why the hell is it that I can't say something as a formal opinion without being told off for "hate"?

i understand, seriously i do. but people have emotions which is also human, maybe the things that went down today could’ve been handled differently, but regardless it was speaking up to stuff that has gone on for so long. i get being a game owner is hard, and ABSOLUTELY no one is perfect, but sometimes things need to be said and spoken about. maybe less aggressively but spoken about. communication is key. and as a game owner, damen has duties, and not everyone will be happy all the time because things happen, he chose to be a game developer and he does good at it when he cares about it, but honestly sometimes it doesn’t feel like he does. im just saying. no hate towards him at all you know? and yeah the real world is tough

well said. we need to accept each others' imperfections and encourage improvement in a positive way. this applies to anyone—not only damen. there's a huge issue in this community with treating people as nothing more than their "job" or rank in the game. we need to treat each other like humans, because we are simply people behind a computer screen trying our best.

personally, i speak up to damen about a lot of things i think he does wrong. he responds to criticism amazingly. he's always sorry and he always does his best to improve. i get that it's difficult to convey your feelings to damen when his plate is already so full of people trying to contact him, but creating posts or speaking to crowds to publicly shame someone is wrong. everyone was very upset when he did that by using private mail to call people out on what they've done wrong, right? i told him respectfully that it was wrong and he's sorry and promised not to do something like that again. damen has told me that it hurts his feelings very much when someone publicly goes against him instead of telling him in private what he can improve on.

he knows he is bad at communication. he's honestly trying to be better, all the time. he struggles with responding to just me sometimes. however, he's very open with everyone about his feelings and his struggles, which he expresses in his youtube videos. he goes live on youtube and answers the chat for an hour or more at least twice a month. the least we can do is be patient with him and respect how huge his workload is. there are loads of people trying to contact him all the time, and oldcp is only one of his three jobs.

If there is a post that is bashing damen OR sled it will be removed to prevent the drama / backlash of the events that happened today. If you're upset with your posts being removed then write better posts because forums mods have a job to remove any posts that have the possibility of causing drama. That's all I'm going to say on that matter.

Also you never make formal complaints to sled, your last post was calling her the worst admin ever please.. make it make sense.

Not to be a buzzkill but people weren't hating on Damen as much for checking mail, but for leaking private conversations with users and putting them on blast for the whole community to see....

hey, that's a different situation from what we're talking about i think there was more that happened afterwards regarding him not checking his mail but it's more of a private thing between him and sled now.

Well, over the years I've admit I've been ridiculous sometimes on OldCP and here on the DSGHQ forums, but since I've seen this post, I've decided to become positive. From training as a knight, to doing well in GOM, and to helping some user. And Pablo, as a good friend and fellow Canadian, I respect your word. Hopefully, OldCP and DSGHQ will be positive in a later time.
