It was a Thursday night in the Land of the Slavs, home of the Slovenians. Luka, 30 years young, had scored a date for this evening with a girl way out of his league named Eva on Tinder. She had luscious golden blonde hair and dreamy blue eyes. He decided to take her to a popular restaurant in town, named "My Dumplings of Slovenia."
--
Before Eva could sit down, I rushed to the chair and pulled it out so she could sit. I want to really impress her; show her how alpha I am but also show her I am a true gentleman. She is the most eye pleasing woman I have ever dated.
"Wait here, I'll order our food," I said to her as she smiled ever so slightly and nodded. I hope this is going well.
--
I watched Luka hustle to the counter, in a rush to get our food order placed. I hoped it would take awhile. As we talked in the car, I noticed that he is quite dull in personality. I already knew that we were not compatible.
As I waited for him to come back, I noticed a handsome man staring right at me. He looked full of life, and also quite buff, as if he worked tirelessly in a gym to perfect himself. To my surprise, he got up from his seat and walked over to me.
"Now, what's a beautiful girl like you doing with a guy like that?" he said, with his soothing voice and a charming smile. "Why don't we just get outta here and go have some fun in town? My name is Jakob."
I was contemplating going; I was itching with excitement for the mysteries that lied within this man. Luka is a good guy and all, but just not for me.
"Alright." I got up and grabbed my purse. As we began to walk off, Luka came back with our food.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" He yelled, as everyone in the restaurant started staring at us, their eyes piercing my soul as I felt a sudden embarrassment. I hate attention.
"Well, obviously this girl isn't impressed by you, old man. And now, she's leaving with me," Jakob remarked.
"THE HELL SHE WON'T." Luka squawked as he launched our dinner at Jakob and myself. I backed away, with the food dripping down my dress as I heard gasps from the audience. Jakob kept his cool as he wiped off the food from his clothes.
Jakob looked at Luka with piercingly cold eyes. "That's it. You shouldn't have done that. Look at what you did, you ruined her dress." He pulled up his sleeves to reveal his muscular arms. I was extremely upset, and couldn't believe what had just happened. But I wanted Jakob to win this fight. Instead of talking this out, letting me tell him I'm just not interested, he went ahead and created a mess. A mess that I can not forget about and will certainly not win me back.
Luka swung first, but it was appalling as it completely missed Jakob, who was quick to dodge it, and Luka staggered into a table. As the sound of crashing plates hit the floor, Jakob took this chance to grab ahold of Luka and toss him, almost like a rag doll, to the ground. It was in this moment I realized that this would be a quick knock out. Jakob, with a lot of sass, slapped him around and looked up with at me with a smirk that said "look how easy this was." I just smiled. Luka suddenly shoved Jakob off of him, catching Jakob by surprise as he got up and stumbled. Luka got up and held up his fist, but suddenly ran up to Jakob and tried to kick him, who cleanly grabbed Luka's leg and tugged on it, forcing Luka to the ground. He kicked Luka around a couple of times, and I became queasy as I knew that was going to leave a mark.
"Stop..." Luka breathed. "Just...go."
I stepped over Luka's badly bruised body as Jakob escorted me out. I have found the ultimate Slovenian boyfriend.
