Hello everyone. I am glad to be back on OldCP and have miss(IL)ed most of you greatly. I also thank Damen for giving me a chance. I decided to make this post because I’ve heard of the recent missile activity and I think that this might help some of you who are involved in war, whether you are fighting or spectating. (Lol this is kind of ironic).

I am here to teach those of you who are curious about missiles on OldCP since we’ve seen a lot of them lately. If you are someone who is already aware of what they are, what they do and how to use them, then that’s cool. You don’t need to look at this post. Now, I shall begin my first lesson.

What is a missile?

A missile as a guided missile, is a guided airborne ranged weapon capable of self-propelled flight usually by a jet engine or rocket motor. This is the wikipedia definition but basically, it’s a rocket bomb that can be fired to kill people, or in OldCP’s case, penguins.

FIRST LESSON!

How do I escape a missile if I’m fighting or spectating a war/event?

I think that one of the first things users should know is how to escape a missile because many of you keep dying and it’s not your fault. So, what you need to do if you’re either at an event or war is to turn up your volume because the missile makes a sort of squeaky sound around 3-4 seconds before it lands. If you hear it, just rejoin or log out.

For those of you who are actively fighting or involved in an event, I will give video examples on how to do escape. What’s important is that you shouldn’t stay in one spot for a long time because that will just make it easier for the enemy to lock their target on you. I give credit to Frogs, Sled and Tom who have shown examples of how to proceed.

As you can see here (and even Frogs told me this), he heard the nuke coming plus he knew he was staying in that certain spot for too long so he moved again to dodge that missile. Take note of the amount of area the missile can swallow up because quite a few users were not so lucky.

Here is a second example. Focus on Sled and Tommo’s positions, especially Sled because she kept her distance properly but Tom’s escape is definitely film-worthy lol.

I think this is also a better vision of just how much space a missile can take up. I’m sure most of you know this but if you do see the rocket flying down and you’re near it, you will die. Even before you see the rocket, it will still kill you if you’re nearby. I’m not sure why but I think it’s because of the way it’s programmed to instantly kill users.

I hope this post has helped!! If you have any more questions, you can comment or DM me. If you have any other suggestions on how to escape or want to give other examples, comment them too.

The second lesson will be soon...

Yes she did. It’s one skill to nuke but another to escape it because you’re using 2 accounts at the same time and the missile launches really fast so getting out of there quickly wouldn’t be easy. And yeah having ur volume up is good so u can hear it coming
