Last Saturday, Melody appeared and announced that she wanted to make Little become ugly. She said that she wanted to have one of her ice wolves scratch Little's face to disfigure her. What people don't realize is there is some irony in this desire of hers.

Way back in the day, in ancient forest times before Melody and Pythas (then Mairon) ever truly met, Melody's sister Mari was feeling very jealous. She was jealous that Melody was considered to be the most beautiful in the forest. She deeply desired that Melody would lose her beauty somehow so that she would be the most beautiful. So she plotted with Mairon to mar Melody's beautiful face. The plan was that Mairon would take on the form of a wolf and Melody would be told that a wolf wished to give her a present but she had to go into the forest to meet the wolf and receive the present. Then Mairon, in his wolf form, would scratch Melody.

The plan did not at all go the way that Mari had wanted it to. When Mairon saw Melody, he instantly fell in love with her beauty and decided that he could not follow through with disfiguring her face. He excused himself and went off into the forest where the wolf turned into a Prince. He came out again and the two ended up falling in love.

We all know the rest of the story from there that they got married and such.

Melody's plan is just Mairon's plan all over again. Perhaps Little will be lucky if she is ever confronted with one of Melody's ice wolves, and they fall in love with her as Mairon did with Melody that fateful day in the forest.

They do say history repeats itself.
