I understand the P3D is supposedly more active, but even with that in mind, I am reluctant to log on whatsoever. Allow me to explain.
1. Boredom
There are people around, crimezone every now and then, but in the long run, for the most part, if it's not the good hours or I don't have anyone to talk to, I have pretty much nothing to do.
The grinding system for ores is great and all; but the issue has to be the fact that I don't have fun mining. Mining is not a fun process. You stand in one spot and click repeatedly. There are minigames as well, but all things considered? Even the minigames don't offer much. I want something like mancala, or chess, or checkers, or even just connect four; something that I can do for fun that will reward me in the end. Hell, even just achievements. Maybe an arcade game of some kind that when played can put you on a public leaderboard depending on your high score, AND rewards you with Gold? That'd be really fun. But then there's my second issue.
2. The Forge
The Forge is, in essence, a great idea. On the surface, it sounds like it'd work out all fine and well. But there isn't much when it comes to what I get from the forge. With my previous issue listed, getting ores, even just gold, is not a fun process. Which, alright, sure, I can just leave my computer running on autoclicker and maybe grab a good amount while afk. The issue here is? I don't want to. If I have to make an effort of which to basically just do nothing, then what's the point of playing the game? Well, maybe you're saying, you get the ores as your reward, and you can make armor, and buy clothing and furniture and what have you, right? But here's where the issue comes in again. The armor and weapons just aren't worth it. The combat in the game is really, really janky. Trying to block towards someone can become almost impossible, as your head in first person doesn't actually move your body around, and plus, the angles at which you can be hit basically means that all you do is jump around and swing at each other. There's absolutely no skill involved, either, because the way the game is? The person with the most armor/health wins. It's just a matter of how much health you have, and if you can deal a fair amount of damage back. I don't really know of a way to fix this, the game isn't exactly fit for things like combat anyways? The only thing I would recommend is something more than just the usual damage? Maybe add more things to kill with swords to maybe give them more use? Plus, the game would be really fun with some NPC bosses like Spiders in Spider Caves and things along those lines. Maybe there could be shields as well, or maybe armor doesn't just entirely give you more health and instead only negates damage? "More health" is just a huge issue in the game anyways, and the next worst thing to happen to this world would be OP Health in Penguin 3D. Be prepared to see the entitled people showing up with 200 health and a 1 hit sword.
3. Scuffed Law
There isn't much real "Law" in the game. God knows OldCP has this issue as well, but Penguin3D manages to make it worse. For one, the arrest system is INSANE. I can be on a COMPLETELY different island. Also, there isn't much actual law. This is a bit of a minor issue but the arrest system definitely needs to be tuned down a little. It's a game; making things challenging is all for the fun of it. Bans and arrests SHOULD NOT BE TREATED THE SAME UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. But of course, Damen's choice.

Idk what you mean by the arrest system needs to be tuned down a bit
You can be arrested while being in an entirely different place on the map, people with ranks don't even have to be near you.

Penguin3D is not a bad game in essence, it's pretty fun. Plus, in my case, I'm just providing some suggestions on what I want to see.

Imagine making a post that's giving genuine constructive criticism about a game you play, only for people to all go: "If you don't like it, don't play it", as if you need to play the game religiously to have your opinion matter at all.
Is that how you treat people who give suggestions about a game? Tell them to quit?
Alatar's pretty right, actually. The game, while it does have a lot of potential, can get pretty dull pretty quickly. Damen said a while back he would consider adding NPC's and quests, but idk what became of that.
Good post

All he's doing is giving constructive criticism, something he's allowed to do and something that people should do. People shouldn't be silenced whenever they wish to voice their opinion. I feel the same way he does, I played it once in January and I lost interest. Differentiating opinions are a good thing. What he's said isn't bad. He's only giving his ideas on how something can be better. I'm sorry, your message was just really rude.
Anyways, It would be good to see more things added to P3D. Orbay's right, the game has a ton of potential but at the current moment, it loses its finesse quickly. Currently the only thing I like doing is jumping off mountains with the jetpack. Hopefully there're more updates in the future that improves it.
You'll never silence my voice, no, I won't go.

Edit: Did not mean for this to come off rudely, don’t want anyone to feel pressured to play a game just to follow the crowd. And the title of the post does give off a negative energy, so I apologize. But you are right, we would love to more mini games, especially like connect four

this post was created for nothing more than a bit of constructive criticism. i don't know if it's your place to tell someone "not to play a game" because they dislike aspects of it. regardless of what seems to be flawed in his eyes, he still gave the game a bit of credit before going into depth in almost EVERY paragraph in the post. let others express their opinions openly just like certain users do when their posts are disliked.

For once I actually agree with you, P3D Is a good game IMO, but it definitely is boring sometimes, after mining (which is boring) and maybe decorating your igloo, there isnt much to do anymore, especially if you have explored or if you have full armor, you have no higher goal anymore, or anything to incline you to stay on the game and keep you occupied and un-bored.
Edit: I really like the point about Npc's in caves, like imagine you are mining but you have to deal with a few spiders, or skeleton penguins, and they could drop gold and ores, and to get better ores and better materials you need to go to more difficult mines, basic first mine would have no enemies to prevent new players instantly dying, but when you get good enough weapons and armor you can slowly build your way up to fight stronger enemies to get more loot.
