It seems like people are using the 'Discord is discord' thing (where we don't handle discord problems on DSGHQ) as a means of saying/doing all sorts of things

If you are a staff and you say and do things on discord that harm the reputation of dsghq, you can't be staff anymore. You are damaging my reputation since all eyes look to me when mods (and even admins) say sexist/racist/grossly inapp things on discord.

You can't be staff on here if you damage the repuatation of dsghq on the outside (like on discord). Also, if you keep doing it and damage the dsghq reputation more and more without a care, I (Damen, nobody else) will think about making you BOS for external and persistent damaging of the dsghq reputation (not for petty things, I assure you)

Clearing the air is something a lot of people have to do here in the DSGHQ. Everyone needs to set their differences aside and sort out what you need to with someone while you still have the chance to. 2021 shouldn't be the year to hold grudges with everything far worse going on around the world.

I totally agree, yes discord is separate from the forums but you are still representing the DSGHQ.

It was a one time issue that happened in a server. What was done shouldn't have happened and so we put a stop to it, and left. I apologized, anyone with half a mind apologized, and that's that.
What happens in other communities isn't your issue. And it isn't like the intention is to be any sort of bigot. I personally think the 12 year old bare bones offensive humor isn't even funny.
Sometimes not everything in life has to be tied in some way to OldCP. And a discord server with no connection to you and one that is entirely private should not affect you.

Thank you so much and this is exactly the way things should work here. I'm not a fan of ANYONE making these kinds of jokes, but staff members definitely should stay away from this sort of humor because the users look at them differently and can no longer respect them. I'm glad to see you addressed an issue that the community has been facing for the past few days and I'm sure that the drama will settle with time now that you've made this discussion.

I agree Damen. Just because you are on discord doesn't mean you can act out and disrespect someone and call them vulgar names/jokes...

People should be allowed to interact with eachother if they want to do so, DSGHQ shouldn't be a controlling factor, some jokes were messed up yes, but doesnt everyone make mistakes?

Quite right quite right. Everyone does make mistakes. That is why I am not taking any action at this time but instead, setting the boundary for future occasions so my staff don't badly represent the DSGHQ by getting involved in stuff that makes it look bad.
