I would love to see lots of answers cos this is the stuff that interests me about the community. It's growing and I think delving back into our roots would help us get to know eachother a little bit more better

I joined in 2014!

What made you join OldCP?
I joined OldCP because I wanted to experience all the retro and nostalgic items, games, parties and places! (i literally used to use an item adder to get rare items on newcp and this one time i found an adder so good it got me the beta hat and the hawaiian red lei, so i wore it for one day before all my rare stuff got deleted cos they found i hacked )

What do you enjoy most about OldCP?
For me, it's the friendships I've made and the community/user events like GOM or gameshows and quests (baffed you legend)! Also, you guys might have this as an answer but seeing the reasons I joined actually come to life on OldCP made me enjoy the game so much more

I joined for the first time in 2017.

I remember playing cp since i was like 7 years old and I wanted to experience again playing the old classic game from that time.

Thing I most enjoy about the game itself its all the twisted empire, combat, ranks, cz, houses everything the game has WAY MORE fun than that regular cp.
And about DSGHQ is the people and friends I met here and still talk

The reason I joined was because I wanted to replay my childhood, I also believe the game was advertised on another forum which took my interest.

What I enjoy the most is the friends , Even If I don't talk to them really anymore it's still a memory. In general the community can be very supportive which I like.

I joined because I was a fan of the original Club Penguin and I stumbled upon it around the time Club Penguin was closing down.

Although a lot of the friendships are bittersweet, I’d say they’re the best part of OldCP and the community in general. The community is very close knit, and you get to know everybody relatively fast.

i enjoyed meeting different sorts of people. some were unkind but others were nice and i liked that

I first joined OldCp in 2014. I logged in once and got yelled at for spamming and I didn't know what that was so I logged off and didn't come back for about a year.

Why did I join? Initially I joined because I heard that you could kill the penguins here and I was totally for that and wanted to kill penguins. And then when nooby me found out that I could not kill penguins without getting a sword, I tried to get killed (this was all on random nooby named accounts). Then I made friends and got involved in cz and so I stuck around on a non-noob account.

What have I enjoyed most? The friendships are certainly a good option. I'm also glad that the game got me into Tolkien. Before OldCp, I thought that those books were only for super nerdy nerds.

I joined because Cyberwolf was my friend and he was admin at the time. I was an author on a club penguin private server blog (that was popular for telling people what new private servers have come out if any of them had huge updates, people used it to find a server that they would enjoy). I wrote about OldCP and helped it gain users.

What I enjoy most about OldCP is the people. I also love hosting events. My famous trials were lit and justice was served many times. Many deaths of the guilty at the mountain which is now haunted.

and I joined because of club penguin shutting down and i saw it on a top 10 cpps servers or something

my welcome to oldcp was death then I had to make a new account so yeah

I joined in 2013 because I was looking for an CPPS that looked like the old version of Club Penguin. My favorite thing about OldCP was meeting all the friends I've met, even if I don't talk to most of them nor know where some are.

A video on YouTube talking about OldCP vs. NewCP made me join, and I found OldCP's website on Google.

The nostalgia of the game is what I enjoy most about OldCP, and the long-lasting relationships I've made from the community.

I joined in October 2015

A few friends of mine on the original club penguin told me about it. I joined it along with Jenna, Fizza8 and some others at around the same time.

I enjoyed just chilling with my friends there and getting to know people. I met some amazing people especially during covid until now and I'm happy to be friends with them
I also liked events like GOM, Baffed's quests and ruling Das lol
