i haven't made an actual discussion in a while so

HI

i posted a mood about how im getting old or wtv and then luke wrote something similar. cuz we are getting old

i turn 18 this summer and im graduating in june (class of 2022 anyone?) and im leaving my family to go experience the real world. "i dont know what that ____ means but that ____ sounds tough"

i joined dsghq when i was either 9 or 10 (i don't actually remember how old i was) and never really quit since. i literally grew up with this community and the day it completely dies will be a very sad day.

since the beginning so many people have come and go and through those years i've made friendships that still hold significance to me today.

so... i wanted to ask how long ago did you join the community and one thing this community given you (positive only)

this community definitely gave me the sense of acting completely different than i normally would irl, which is a sense i'm taking to college. the people we meet next year in college don't have to know how we acted in the 18 years that they never knew us for. remember that.

this! i can't wait to start over and finally be the person i want to be without the worry of people's opinions. i'm slowly starting to ignore people's opinions towards me, because when i care it just sends me into a spiral of self doubt and depression.

if it doesn't matter in 5 years, it should even matter for 5 seconds. this community taught me to have confidence and i'm very grateful for that

i was literally in the last few days of second grade when i joined and now im halfway through the first year of highschool

First off, beautiful discussion!

Secondly, I have been in this community since early 2013. I was 12, and now I’m 21. It’s quite crazy to think that I’m still here after all those years, but what keeps me here is the glue of the community… the users, the memories, and all of my amazing friends.

Through my time here I have been able to experience almost all realms of the community, and I am so happy to still play a role in this community, even though I’m definitely getting older… but it’s alright, I don’t plan on leaving until I go down with the community all together, haha! This place has always been therapy to me, a place I was able to hide away on and for just the brief moments I come on here, I was able to escape some harsh realities. This place taught me so many skills, and allowed me to become someone I never thought I could become. I’ll be forever thankful for this.

I’ve been so grateful to have met people like Amanda (Nepeta) who I would say is my bestest friend in the whole wide world, and to have met Bailey who I couldn’t imagine not having met. I have come to create so many meaningful relationships, and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve also been lucky enough to meet both Amanda and Bailey in real life. It’s been surreal, to say the least.

Here’s to many, many, many more years on a community that I believe truly has and always will be a huge part of me, and my childhood. ❤️✨
