Hello DSGHQ community! Nice to see that there are still mod applications and stuff floating around on here. I'm still confused about why someone copied like the entire Book of Genesis on here though!

I guess I'm posting on here in light of it being a new year. Annnnnnnd I have Covid, which, hey! I do not recommend getting! If you have the choice between Getting Covid and Not Getting Covid, don't get it!

Anyways, I logged on to see that there's a reunion tomorrow. I invited a couple of old users who I still keep in touch with, so I hope to see an impressive turnout. I feel like it'll be really cool to interact with some of my childhood internet friends and I hope to see you there! The fact that it's been 10 years is, like, genuinely baffling to me. It's difficult for me to actually comprehend that I started playing this when I was 10 or 11 (?) and now it's 2022. Seriously, though, I catfished people on here, got catfished, cyberbullied, got cyberbullied, applied to be a moderator like 50 times, 'dated' several people, lied about my age so much that it became inconsistent and weird, probably got groomed a couple of times -- all that fun stuff. Do you remember Xat? Kik? The dawn of Discord? Look at how far we've come.

I've asked this question before, but what are you guys up to now? Like, how's school or work or whatever you've been doing with your lives? I really enjoy hearing about how people grew. I went to uni for a while and majored in English and philosophy (in the hopes to be a high school teacher), but had to drop out and move back home because my mom had a stroke. Now I'm kind of just her caretaker until she gets better, I guess, so I haven't been up to much. Worked at a deli for a while and that sucked. Can't really do standup comedy because all the clubs are closed again, but I'm probably gonna move to the city with my boyfriend (who is not a penguin this time) when my mom heals and the Covid situation is a bit different. Don't know if I'm gonna go back to uni... still sitting on that.

But yeah, that's my personal life, or rather the aspects of it that I'm comfortable sharing on a penguin forum. How are you, really? You should totally tell me because nobody commented on my post last time and that was awkward! Okay, good talk.

My life right now pretty much consists of applying to full time jobs in either marketing and graphic design or human resource management and graduating n getting a bachelors degree. I really really hope I find a job soon. But yea i feel like a grown up damn. Wild to see where everyone was when they first joined the community vs what theyve become now
