Hello Gangsters and Chris Brown, EAG in the building,
As many of you know, I work a trade doing Scaffolding, where I'm outside everyday, 7 days a week 24/7. (That was just targeted at those who tell me to touch grass. When in fact, at this rate, I've touched grass more than most this community lol)
Now the thing is with Scaffolding, there is a lot of driving, we rely on google maps to guide us to where the job is so we can either take down, or put up a scaffold. We get at least 3 jobs done a day depending on the size.
Scaffolding is a lot of fun, knowing that I could die any moment because of the heights, the weight of all the kit and so on. SO! We started the day with both of my workmates with no battery on their phone, so we used my phone for the google maps.
We finished two of the jobs quicker than we thought, but the van was very very low on fuel, and we didn't have the fuel card to pay for it, even better. So we had 14 miles worth of fuel left in the Van, It was also using the reserve fuel. So we managed to find a fuel garage with like 9 miles left in the fuel tank, we had to pay for the fuel over the phone by talking to the office at our work, THEN AS I CALL THEM UP, THE PHONE DIED. My anxiety returned from the dead like "Wassup, I never left" and I went into panic mode, I REFUSED to be stuck in the middle of no where surrounded by farms and skin walkers, so my workmates just sat in the Van, whilst I PAID the Fuel out of my own wages.
so After paying for the fuel, I walked to the van saying I paid for it, and that we can now go to the job, then I realised all of our phones have died, we have no directions to the place we were meant to be putting the scaffolding up. So we just left it at that, drove back into the crappiest town In England, Exeter, and had an early finish.
I phoned my boss up when I got home, explained everything, and his response was "Why didn't you just use the phone box by the fuel garage, The company has the literal number on the back of our hoodies"
WELL DONE ELLYS! WELL DONE YOU IDIOT!
But he understood we were stressed out at the time, so he just said it is what it is and that we'll sort it out tomorrow.
Remember guys, everyday can be a good day, but don't get to comfortable, just one thing can ruin your whole day.

If you asked me to list the mistakes I made as an 18 year old starting out in my first job, well I don't think the hard drive on the forums server could cope with the data
