I agree though, we need to bring more content here about OldCP, perhaps some tutorials/beginners guides for commands, explaining the Empire & ranks, etc. I will do my best to post some helpful tutorials to help out.
I can't wait to see the rise of the Light Troops again!! I had a lot of funny in the army π

There's already an "OldCP trailer" video in the works, hopefully we can make a tutorial video as well. Since people have short attention spans these days its better to put all this stuff in video format.
Also the Light Troops are currently deceased unfortunately, perhaps some brave user can revive them someday lol.

no thanks sorry cp armies are way too toxic and these communities should not intermix at all lol
why not just use the army server or whatever it is? i think it would prove more beneficial than attempting on a dead game. this sounds really rude and i'm really sorry but i personally have had awful experiences within the CP army community and I would rather not see our community become ravaged with those sorts of people.
please for the love of all things if you're going to do this then at the very least keep templars and doritos far, far away from this community.

You make a good point regarding the discord server. I admit I am only in the P3D server and have not seen much in terms of a desire for oldcp activity. And I'm sure you would be keeping a count on who joins. I just don't personally believe this is a good decision because the idea of armies is to gain influence and notoriety and that would be nearly impossible here.
I speak on toxicity because almost every army I have been a part of or have witnessed have had negatives that have drowned out the positives for me, LT included. I have yet to see a truly good member of a CP army that isn't 1) clouded by bias 2) led by rash decisions or 3) easily influenced by others. While I am still relatively new to armies [2017] and have not interacted with any in almost a month, I still have seen quite a few things that make me hesitate on allowing them access to this community. Mainly regarding pedophilia, racism, sexism, doxxing and inappropriate intimate remarks.
However, I'm willing to watch how it plays out and I'm sure you'd do a fine job at handling any potential situations that arise.

anyways, I'm pretty sure there's already a private CPPS for armies. I think it'd be best for y'all to stick there and not mingle with this community, since both of them are toxic as is.

This is great! really hoping people give it a chance and not overlook how this can potentially revive the game. Us admins will not allow any toxicity or disrespect, so I hope users donβt worry as we wonβt let that happen.

Keep in mind that communities change and evolve over years, its highly unfair to criticize a community in present tense based off an opinion you've formed on them about things that happened in the PAST. Many of those "toxic users" you speak of have been ousted out of the CPA community just like certain toxic users have been booted from OldCP/DSGHQ. The solution for preventing anything negative happening is having a proper staff and from the looks of it SecurityGuy and his team seem to be a solid group of individuals that should be more than willing to guide the direction of the boost in users. We've got amazing leaders/representatives and chaperones on both sides here in SecurityGuy for OldCP and myself for CP Armies. Once again, thank you for your opinion however please be aware of how pessimistic you sound.

Lets not pair up every person in the Epic Club Penguin Gaming Army Corps community as toxic because there was a couple toxic people.
A lot of the things people are listing that are negative in the cpps army groups are the same exact problems we have here.
And these problems are still here despite being YEARS since the first instances of them popping up..
Though I do understand the point of toxic people coming, no matter how people revive OldCP there's always going to be toxic people.
Plus DSGHQ does have a lot of admins and mods for such a small playerbase, so the problem of rule-breakers coming on shouldn't be too bad as long as people do their jobs.
The main problem? Them not being used to OldCP. With how weird the game is I believe there will be more questions than drama, a lot more.
A tutorial was mentioned in this thread and I think that is necessary. Nobody is going to tinker around enough to find out how /newcp or gold works without help from another person. And then there's the Empire, weapons, cz, etc...
edit: I would also like to mention that maybe more players on OldCP, would mean more players to the rest of the DSGHQ games since players could eventually get curious and try out the other things we have here. Although this depends on how many players come to OldCP
