Day 2
Now two people have died, yet no one is too concerned as both deaths appeared to be accidents. Zen tripped and fell on a sword. Nothing suspicious about that. People fall on their own swords all the time, right?
Once again, Kutya investigated the death further. This time, she took a particular interest in the sword. After all, swords have been possessed before by evil spirits. Once again, there was no interesting evidence to be found. Eiven's sword was not possessed or cursed.
So then everyone went on to the next wedding event the morning after the reception, the unwrapping of wedding gifts. Everyone had brought wedding presents for Damen and his bride (who did not exist). Despite not actually having a bride, Damen was going to keep the gifts anyway. He figured that these people loved him enough to buy him presents and it would hurt their feelings if he were to return them.
Sir Warrior had gifted Damen a toaster. Eiven had given him a fancy new crown with a beautiful queen's crown, it was just something he had found. His original gift was a shield but he had since unwrapped that to use himself as he was still scared there was a murderer on the loose. Little had gifted him and hers matching amethyst bath robes. Kutya gifted him a book of the Drake lore. Kara gifted him an expensive diamond bracelet with her name on it! Pic gave a picture she painted of her pushing Damen down a hill. Tom gave the classic gift of gold. Sled gave him a book of joke. Loki and Amir gave them a nice cursed set of goblets with an additional note saying "May vultures peck your eyes out." as Loki was mad that there were all these guests staying in Baraddur. Gamer's gift was a beautifully crafted sword, blessed by the forest shaman.
"You forgot a gift," Sled pointed out after Damen had unwrapped Gamer's gift.
"Bring it here, please my good Sled," said Damen.
The gift was rather large, about the size of a refrigerator or vending machine and had to be moved with a two wheeled cart. As Sled tipped the cart back to wheel the present over to Damen, she misjudged its weight and it fell over right on top of her!
Sled was thus crushed.
Damen opened the present, it had been from Zen who had died the previous night. The gift was an oversized pallet of oversized toblerones, a do it yourself toblerthrone kit for the new Empress.
"Ooh Toblerone! My favorite!"

Own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.
