Hello guys.I'm having a bit of trouble.
Once I have premium on Minecraft.How do I get the newer versions?I still have the free 1.5.2 version,but I have a premium account,but when I try to download the new versions,nothing happens.I have the PC version.

http://mineshafter.info/ then go to downloads and when u download its all minecraft updates for free then when it says Login Do for example: Diggydiggy35 it doesn't need to be the exact password
Then do diwidjj a random password cause it still works even though its wrong. Then go to edit profile then almost at the bottom it will say: Use version Then you select 1.7.4 or lower thats what i play minecraft on the updates are 100% free but not multiplayer serva

So how do I get it able to play multiplayer servers?

Well only some ill name 2: Knifecraft.tk and hg.craftrealms.com this is hunger games

The downloads are not working for me.Where do I get the official download from Mojang?

Let me clear things up, I don't think Brayden's advice is clear:

If you are having trouble with your account, open the launcher. Now click "Edit Profile" when done loading. When you are on that screen, go to the middle of the window. You should see something that says "release 1.5.2". Click on that, then click on "Use Latest Version". You might have to scroll up. Then click "Finish". Congratulations!

I don't see anything that says Edit Profile.See?
