Smelting is the process of making goods by cooking, baking, melting, and burning. You need to make a furnace to smelt which is made by 8 cobblestone. To smelt something you need a fuel, and something to cook. As things smelt, an arrow will show the process of how long it will take to smelt. You can smelt food, ores, and other materials. If the furnace runs out of fuel, it will stop smelting what you have in the furnace. If a player walks far away from the furnace, and the chunks unload it will stop smelting until you come back into range. Here is a picture of what the inside of a furnace looks like:



The fuel would go in the bottom box, and what you are smelting will go in the top box. When it is done smelting the finished product will be in the box to the right beside of the arrow.
