Posted in Snail Watch Application • 9th February 2015, 08:11 PM

Hello everyone, today I am going to apply for SnailWatch and I really hope you enjoy the time and effort put into this.

Name: My real name is Nicholas, my in-game name is Tommy0724.

Age: My age is 12, my birthday is July 24th, as of right now my birthday isn't really close lol.

Hobby's: I have many hobby's, I like online gaming, martial arts, drawing and coloring, reading, and many more.

Experience: I got a little experience, I have recently started the Moderator Training Class ran by Sadie.

Why do I think I will fit this job, will I leak?: I will NEVER leak, why would I? I am a very trustworthy person. I love to help people when it comes to questions about the game. I also do NOT tolerate bullying in any forum. I am obedient to rules and don't have any record of ban, kicks, arrest, or warnings. I have been bullied many times and actually just got out of a bullying scenario, I don't want anyone in the game have to get bullied. I want parents to love the game their child plays, I don't want parents to block snaildom because of bully's. I want parents to feel as their kids are safe and I want the players to feel safe as much as the parents.

Will you ever abuse your powers?: Never! I will use them ONLY if needed. I will analyze and make all use for powers are fair and needed.

Do I know the Snail Watch motto's/slogans?: I do, once a brother always a brother. Once you are in the watch you may never leave.

Do I commit to the minim of 3 days a week for at least 10 minutes?: I do, normally I am on longer than 10 minutes.

Do I know and accept the punishment if I leak?: Of course, I know if I ever leak I would have committed treason and understand I will be executed. I would accept my punishment and understand I may never gain a rank again. I also understand if this application gets accepted I may not reveal my success.

This is the conclusion to my Snail Watch application, I thank you for reading and thank you for considering my application. Please be sure to leave a 1+ if you think I did well and of course if you didn't leave a 1-. ~Tommy0724

Posted in Controversy Over Buying Gold • 8th February 2015, 11:21 AM

Kirby wrote on 8th February 2015 11:13 AM:
I'm totally against this. Sorry, but I have to speak my mind. I'm not just gonna sit here, silenced, and take this like it's okay or right. It's not.

Buying gold with real money: How does Damen expect the support if us KIDS don't even have credit cards to pay for this? Well, does he think everyone's parents are just going to give them their credit cards to pay for virtual gold on a forum? Hmm, common sense, please. I get it's to keep the DSGHQ alive, but let's be serious. We're kids, ages 8-16. 16 is still considered a kid. They may have a job, but you're not an adult until you're 18. There's really only one adult we know. It's not like there's a bunch of adults here who can give Damen the money. Paypal, I tried making one, but I need to be 18 or older (I can just change my age, but I honestly don't care anymore) and a Social Security # (which I think you need a credit card for). So yeah, you getting my point here?

Being able to buy Master and Moderator Trial with gold: Well, what does that tell us, that we can just buy ranks?! WHERE HAS THE WORD "EARN" GONE?! I don't know, but it just proves that anyone can get the ranks just by buying them. I think it's dumb. The Masters and Moderators EARNED their spots, so having someone just buy their way through a rank is ridiculous. What's the word? Mediocre? Yup.

So that's how I feel about this, and it seems like you don't want people to say their opinions. *ahem* I don't remember a "You can't speak an opinion that goes against Damen and/or his decisions or you'll be banned and considered an enemy" rule. Maybe because there isn't? Well, you people make freedom of speech seem BAD, when it's not. Sorry but I had to say this.

I agree, people work hard to earn ranks, that is the thrill of the ranks knowing you worked very hard to achieve them and the hard work pays off. But now people can buy these special hard earned ranks, I am still working hard to earn ranks and it is sad for me knowing now someone can buy a rank and basically get any rank they want if they pry aren't suitable for the rank.

I think that is a little overboard for a snowball match, maybe a special temporary like team Captain rank and a snowball blaster. I think a sword and moderator like powers are unnecessary.

Hey,
To dislike a post, there should be a button, right next to the Like button, which says "Dislike".
I don't see a button, it is pry because I am brand new.
