Fact #3:[/b] Did you know that before DSGHQ these forums were the OldCP Community? (A lot of you users that have been here longer probably already know this.)
Fact #4:[/b] Did you know that these forums have been around for 1 year(s)? (Since August 30th, 2013.)
Fact #5:[/b] Did you know that back in the day there were only 3 basic things that users could create: moods, discussion replies, and discussions?
Fact #6:[/b] Did you know that there was another forum before these forums?
Fact #7:[/b] There wasn't an empire back then (for OldCP or forums,) there was just moderators and administrators.
Fact #8:[/b] Back then, there was no gold or store.

Hey everyone.
Summer is almost upon us once again so it's time for the Summer Kick-off Party 2015 edition. Some of you might remember that last year Mikomi and I hosted a summer kick-off party last year, and it was a huge success. This year the party is back with more fun, sun and hamburger buns.

Hey there! Alright, so this will be a long discussion, so please read the whole thing before commenting. Remember, this is only my opinion, so don't go freaking out or something just because I may have offended you. Aswell as this, I would not like to offend anyone in this discussion.

Alright! Well, we just had a moderator competition. The winner of this was in-fact Chex; this was her second Moderator competition she won. I believe two things. The first is that she deserved it. And the second is that she didn't deserve it. Confused? Well, read to learn why.

Why Chex Deserves Moderator

1) She is a very responsible, friendly, kind, and active person.

2) She can take care of a situation easily.

3) She clearly earned her win at the Moderator Competition.

Yes, she is very loyal to the DSGHQ. She can deal with a large number of problems, and loves to help users. She always can make a friend, and helps friends in need. She is creative and fun to be around, and always knows how to make someone's day.

She can talk things out with someone, and is active so she can fulfill her duty as Moderator. She is a role model for others, and will always be there for someone. She has achieved very much, and has a big potential.

Why She Doesn't Deserve Moderator

My problem is that she resigned. She left her position because it was stressful for her and/she didn't want so much put on her. She resigned, and then went to win another Moderator competition. Yeah yeah, that sounds a little selfish. Let me just say I know she very well deserved it. She worked hard to earn it, and did her best to earn it back. But, she resigned because she didn't want to be a Moderator anymore.

Aswell as this, I think that it was unfair that she won a second Moderator Competition. She resigned, only to win another Mod Comp. I would understand if she was demoted and did so, but she personally resigned. In my opinion, it was a wasted Moderator Competition. There are only 4 a year, and although Chex may have potential, I don't think she should have won again.

Another thing is that she didn't participate in all three days of the Mod Comp. She was there the second day, but she left after a few minutes and didn't do anything else in the comp. She came back, but she didn't do anything to lead the team on day 2.



Very close Moderator Competition. But because Chex only participated for two days of the competition, I don't think she deserved to win. I believe there should have been a sudden death round because the top two were so close to each other.

Conclusion

Yeah, I know, this may sound extremely selfish. And for some parts, I agree. But I made this post for a reason. I believe that if Chex wanted Moderator back, that she could have earned it. But instead, she won a second Moderator Competition after resigning. Since there are only 4 a year, I believe she wasted it for others. Wow okay, I'm acting veery selfish right now ._. My point is she is extremely amazing, and in my opinion deserves Moderator, but I think that she shouldn't have won for the reasons I listed. Now, don't go hating me because I made this post. Chex is a friend of mine, and I think she is amazing. Sorry if I offended you *-* Byeee

So, today my class and I are doing projects on countries. We had to pick a slip of paper out of a bucket to see which was ours to do our report on, whoever guesses the correct country will get all of my gold which is well into the 100's, nearly 200 when this post has been posted.

Note- The Attendance policy may be considered a little bit too extreme, so this might not be permanent. I may decrease it to 12-15 hours a week.

As OldCP gets more popular through our stage of advertisement we need our mods to be on top of their game now that Summer is finally approaching and already here for some of us.


Attendance Spreadsheet

I have created a spreadsheet that accurately tracks the amount of hours a mod has been online OldCP every week.



Here's how it works:
An X means you haven't been online that week for the given amount of time moderators are supposed to be online weekly.(24 hours)

An O means you have completed your hours for that week and you have been cleared

If you have an X that says 'cleared' next to it that means you've been excused by a legitimate reason.

If you are given 3 X's you'll be confronted by either Tennis or me looking for a reason for your inactivity and if we find that reason sensible you will be excused, other than that it's pretty much a guaranteed demotion.

With the demotion of inactive mods, we shall be looking for more qualified members to take their place. So keep working hard.


Attendance Policy


I'm aware that the previous policy was that mods are required to be active for 5 hours a week on OLDCP, well I have increased this requirement to 24 hours a week.

Current Situation
Probation list: Mckinlee, Sled, Little, Deenie, Ellie, Saber574

Demotion: May23(Unless given a legitimate reason)

Let this be a warning to the mods, OldCP is looking for the best of the best and if you're the suitable mod we thought you were when we picked you then this policy should be easily doable.
