I would get master first,not member.Here are some things you need before you apply or become a mod.
(To get master you must apply,and it takes 500 posts and 300 rep.)

-You need experience
-You need good grammar
-You need to be active on oldcp

Tips for your application

-You need to tell what your name is on oldcp
-You need to make your application longer
