On January 11th, 2015, my friends and I conducted an experiment, the Sleep Test, we called it. I invited Owen, Jacob and Dillon to my house. We were sealed into my room, with food to last a month but we took out the dresser, the bed and other belongings and left it bare. We wore masks that sprayed a type of orange liquid that kept us awake. The first five days were okay, I was very drowsy and I could tell everyone else was. We decided that we should stop, I walked over to the wooden door and attempted to open it. It didnt open... "Holy hell" I thought. I forgot Owen propped a chair against the door. Our conversations at the end of day 5 were dark and depressing. We tried to trick eachother into thinking we should kill who we think did something wrong. It had been nine days, it felt like my brain was on repeat, like I would have a seizure at any second. Dillon started screaming at the top of his lungs for hours on end as we all layed on the ground and suffered. After nearly 2 hours of his screeching, Dillons vocal cords ripped... he could talk anymore. Then finally on Day 10 more of us started screaming, we didnt know what to do, I was scared... very scared. I felt fried in my head area, my eye lids felt like they were 100 pound weights. Three more days passed... Jacob and Owen started beating there heads against the wall, uncontrollably until blood caked their hair. On day 14 my mom had returned from her business trip and she found us on the inside, she screamed with horror. Over the 13th night we had began losing control before we had the urge to rip our skin off. Thats what happened... I ripped the skin of my stomach open and continued to poke around, some of us resorted to eating... ourselves. My mom cried and ran out the door whilst calling 911. The cops tried to get us out but we refused. We wanted to stay awake. Forever. They managed to pull us out and take us to a large hospital. We were all in the same room, the doctors put morphine into our veins to calm us down but they said they had dosed us with 10x more then a normal human could handle. They began to cut us open and begin surgery and to their shock, they found human flesh digesting in our stomachs. Dillon fell asleep, he died. One of the doctors came back in and said to my mom "Your childs brain wave patterns are very odd, they seem to be normal but then drop. Its almost like hes dying then coming back to life over." Hours after the operation Owen fell asleep, he never woke up again. It was just me and Jacob. I layed their breathing hard and heavy and blinking my eyes at an alarming speed. We begged the doctors to give us the spray again, so we could stay awake, we pleaded. Before they gave us what we asked for, Jacob fell asleep. I knew I would be next. I tried my hardest to succumb to sleep but eventually the pain became unbareable. Everything went dark.
