Majorhalo's Penguin 3D Administrator Application

I think that your application could use some improvements, but I'll talk about the good sides of the application first. First off, your experience on the game is great. Being a Moderator on the game for 2 years is a outstanding capability. It's also great to see that you have a strong goal in your mind for the future of the game, and how you'll act on it, for example, sticking to the rules of the game and not giving anyone any benefits. Some criticisms I had are that you don't really know what the point of Moderator is on the game. You describe the role, what it does, and it's powers, but not really what it means to be a moderator. Sure, it's great to know the commands, but how about how it affects the users? To be a Moderator, you have to be a leader in the community, its more than just interacting with the users. It's about helping them through issues, and teaching them about playing the game. I know you haven't been active on the game, and it's a no-brainer, but honestly I think before you become admin, you should spend a few months actively playing the game and moderating it, and then learn the true reason on what it is to be a Moderator. Obviously, it is hard for you since you do have alot of off-game activities, such as school, but I think if you'd like to be able to be Administrator, you should probably spend some time playing the game and adapting to the current updates, considering you haven't really been on much at all in the time you've been playing. It's also great to see you acknowledge you got moderator since you were prince, and wanted to make something out of it, but as mentioned above it's a bit hard to do that if you aren't really actively communicating with the userbase, especially learning about the Spanish userbase in general. I'm glad you have your hopes high though, especially since you have a lot of past experience, such as being an Administrator on iOldCP, OldCP, and even managing the database of both. There's no question that you're trusted, it's just the matter of your inactivity, really. For the part where you explain what Administrator means to you, you sort of explain it in the 3rd person, but also the fact that you don't really touch upon it all. Administrator on this game is a tough job, no question. I believe you'd be able to handle it, but ill explain that towards the end. An example is Rouge. She had to intervene in almost every Moderator issue and act as a leading Administrator of the game, due to most of the administrators not really being active enough nor being able to handle these situations. It's great to see you wont break any rules, but from what I can tell is you know very little about the game, and its mechanics, but also what it means to be an Administrator. I think in order to have a chance you probably should increase your activity on the game, considering you don't really even meet moderator standards of 10 hours for this month at all either. I feel you probably have a slight chance here, but in order to gain the rank, which I think you can in the future, is being able to increase your activity, gain hours on the game, and being able to understand the community and the game's logic. On a lighter note, you're able to code and model for the game which is a cool job, and possibly even an Administrator's job already. I wish you then best of luck though, and hope you have a chance, if not, in the future. (I know I mentioned being more active and communicating with the userbase but its probably for the best)
TLDR: Basically I think you should up your activity for atleast 3 months before having a shot at administrator

I can say you did a good job on this, since I was expecting you to mention a few things from the game which I saw in your application. You mentioned that you were Forums Administrator, which is great, and how you have contributed to the forums with wikis, events, etc. You have the experience as an Administrator, and currently even are an administrator, which is awesome. I also saw you mentioned you help out a lot of users. I've seen this with you helping Chr1s on how to play the game, which is also appreciated, as none of the applicants I've seen have done this at all, besides maybe Little. It's quite sad to see you don't really know much Spanish either, because you would really be a great help towards the Spanish community on how to learn and play the game, especially with the lore as you have a great understanding of it. I feel you should've also mentioned some encounters with Spanish users you've had in the past, considering basically all of the applicants besides you are bilingual, how are you able to counter this factor? What makes you different from them? Have you ever had a successful attempt at helping a P3D Spanish user do a certain task? Would be great to see that in your application to compare to the other applicants. Another thing I'd like to mention is that you keep saying you'd like to make a big impact and change the game, but HOW? How will you be able to change the game in a great way for both the English and Spanish communities alike, whether it be an event, or something else. From my experiences, Administrator is more than making an impact, and you should know this as well. It's about being able to be a figurehead for the community, and being able to instruct the Moderators, as I don't think there's a head Moderator. Taking on this role is a big deal, as I've noticed Rouge had to take most of the situations under her control during her time as administrator, due to basically all the other ones not being so active as other people would like them to be. Taking on this role is a huge job, and I think you'd be able to pull it off, but it's especially hard if you don't have much Spanish experience, as far as what's listed. Overall, I think you have a lot of experience in ranks, as well as currently being forums admin, which many people never got the chance to be, especially current Administrators/former ones. I wish you the best of luck!

Great application, I liked how you included alot more on how you would be able to change the game as an administrator, but also not to mention your time on the game is phenomenal. Even now, you're still #1 on the POTM leaderboard. A few flaws I saw with this though, is you kept mentioning how you're kind of a 2nd hand to everything, for example, being taught things by Zes, Chelsey, etc, but what have you learned yourself about being an Administrator? Besides the others who have taught you things about being one, what have you concluded from your time as a Moderator, viewed about the other administrators in the game, what have they taught you about it? I didn't say you shouldn't take what you learned from them and apply it to the game, but how will that help you with an entire other community of Spanish users? Everyone on that list besides Terry, who only was around for a short while, had no experience on P3D as an administrator in general, only on OldCP. YOU yourself have a ton of experience dealing with these users, which has nothing to do with what they taught you themselves. You also mentioned about past events you've done with fellow administrators, which is great, but have you ever done any events by yourself to show you can contribute more to the community? I think you also missed a big opportunity to include your history as LOTB, which is basically an Administrators job as well. My point being, I feel some of the first half of this application is focused on what others contributed to you rather than what you contributed yourself, which you should've touched more upon. Some good things though, is of course you're bilingual, but so are 3 other candidates, so how are you different from them? (which has been a question i've been asking to each applicant directly) You also have alot of rank experience which is good, with Moderator on OldCP, and I believe Modmin on iOldcp, with a few more things sprinkled in there. Some more good parts are at the end, where you explain how you've been in the top 3 POTM for the past 3 months, which I think is excellent, which I mentioned at the beginning, and also the fact that you're able to differentiate some things you had as moderator from an Administrators job, as being an Administrator on the game for a few months, it's definitely more than a few commands, you have to enforce laws better than the moderators, and be an example to the userbase, which you touched on greatly as well. Overall, a great application, and I think you really have a great chance of winning this.

I like that you have touched on about changing on your past experiences as Administrator, and your past actions, especially with including how you would change the game as administrator, but just like Danito's application, I think you should've included how you're better than all the other candidates. I can say since you included 3d modelling that does make you better and more qualified, but there should be more included in there in my opinion. Another thing you said is you mentioned you can speak Spanish and English twice in your application, once at the top and once at the bottom. It's not much, and does add to your final part of the application, but you specifically said "I also know how...", you probably rather should have said "As mentioned above..." Besides that, the only other criticisms I have is that you kept mentioning past experience a little too much in the beginning. Probably should've just been in the first part where you say you regret your past actions and leave it at that. Overall, I think you would make a great candidate besides the few flaws in your application, and not to mention you are pretty active as well. Plus, including your experience as a 3D modeler for the game. Not to mention the great length of this application, not too long but also not too short. I can see you having a good shot at this rank.

Considering you have had past experiences with Administrator, Moderator, etc, and also have been an active player/old user on Penguin3D, I think you'd be great for the job, especially since you're bilingual. However, a slight problem I noticed is you only really wrote your backstory and history with ranks, and how great of a game P3D is, but what about how you will change the game as administrator besides making people treat each other better, what makes you a better candidate than all the others? To add onto that, I think you should specify more about and in each category, such as past activity, any former POTM wins, etc. But overall, a great short and sweet to the point application, and I think you have a decent chance at winning with your rank history.

Winter GOM 2022 - Recap
•
29th January 2022, 09:11 PM
Task 1
The first task was to collect as much fish as possible, and sell it to the moderators at the end. Each competitor was given about 10 minutes to catch fish. The most fish caught was 15 by Tasha, but the highest turnout of gold was by Chr1s, who managed to sway 3000 gold from Eiven.
Task 2
The 2nd task was a dress-up competition. Competitors dressed up as whatever they felt like, and walked up onto The Stage to be rated by the Moderators. The winner of this task was Chr1s, as he took on the style of Terry91, giving everybody some nostalgia.
Task 3
The third task was a race from The Mountain, all the way to The Cove. Unfortunately, Zargoth the Dragon interrupted this, attacking several competitors and spectators, having everyone move to Cobia, which Zargoth also followed everyone to, but didnt attack until the Task was completed. Tasha was the winner of this task, although Kace nearly won as he had a head start, but his ringo got stuck in the mountainous terrain.
Task 4
The 4th task was held in Cobofort, due to Zargoth still chasing everybody after the events of the 3rd task. The 4th task was Moderator interviews, which included Chr1s, Kace, Tasha, Abaddon, Paulish, and Zeon. There was no winner of this task as it only was to decide the winner of GOM after the final task.
Task 5
The 5th and final task was to run the Pizza Parlor, a task based to judge on peoples grammar skills. Damen and major were together at a table, Danito was at a table by himself, and Loki and Zes were together at a table as well. Each were served accordingly to the remaining contestants, as unfortunately Paulish and Tasha had to leave, and Abaddon no longer wanted to compete.
Winner
The winner of the 2nd Official P3D GOM was Kace, being chosen due to his past experience.
