You are right in the sense that its getting smaller, but its no means over. There's still a lot to do, but at slower intervals, if you get my meaning.
If more people took interest in the cz and were willing to build themselves up from nothing to something (which takes time), it would actually be quite fun
I can take this moment to admire the users who do that still now
I tried doing that for years LOOL but its ok idrc i just dk why i got demoted from free fighter without any reason so now i cant possibly join cz. like i logged in one day and i got demoted. i dont really know why that happened and now i dont really have an interest to play anymore. The users who built their own character are selfish and kill me for no reason. It's getting boring with all the same people, there's no balance and nothing interesting ever happens, except to the people involved. I don't know why so many people disagree with this post, I think for the most part it's true and instead of shutting your users down we should try and improve the game based on suggestions, this isnt the same community as it was in 2016 so u cant keep doing the same stuff.

A couple things

Does anyone else think the council idea is bad? For instance everyone on this game has a natural bias. We're not grown adults, a bunch of teenagers are of course going to have bias, and by implementing a council it would take away the voice of the userbase and give it to a select group of people. I think everyone should have an impact on the crimezone and a secret, secluded "council" will just add uneeded problems to the game.

Also, of course crimezone will have sabers and guns. Sure, maybe not regular users, but eventually sabers and guns are going to go to CZ characters and you know it. Instead they should be regulated and not be OP, just one regular saber on ONE account to whoever needs one, and these people will have to have a rank, and prove themselves worthy! Yes, it would be better to have no op weapons at all, but we all KNOW that's never going to happen.

Islands should also be claimed or voted on, i don't think it matters that much, but island leaders should have a chance to grow their kingdom or else it would be completely useless! If you can't defend it or get people to, whats the point of islands in the first place? What will CZ be about?

A warning before demotion is necessary and helpful to people who care about the game.

Lastly, if someone commits treason, remove their weapons altogether! If they're so certain about killing people, why let them keep their sword? Common sense.
Quote:
Majority of the people that I've talked to, also think that this is absolutely an awful idea since the community is already extremely small and unprofitable. And then, on top of this, you put an user in charge, which there is a high chance doesn't have a spine or a clear vision for the game
You're forgetting this is a game, not a government. it's small and unprofitable because users are turned off because 1) the op weapons 2) unpredictable and unengaging crimezone 3) too much staff. This is a chance to start new and who better to choose than someone like Brit, who always helped OldCP and worked her best to improve it. Brit is probably the best choice to run the game along with Lush. It seems unfair you would say this about her if you don't play enough to see what she can do.

I think iOldCP can be a great new start, because OldCP had its downfall because of too many OP weapons and ranked users; with iOldCP we can start fresh and make it how we want without OP weapons, which cant be taken away on oldcp because people paid money for them. However, in order to have a fresh start we need to start it off well instead of turning it to a weak, boring, mini OldCP. Also, Brit isn't stupid so no need to write this as such, if there are problems in the game she can fix it accordingly and we should let the game start before we judge it, who knows if the rules she proposed will work out differently than what you had in mind!

Posted in Mocking • 11th November 2019, 12:04 PM

Hello. As an OldCP Moderator, it is my job to speak to the users on what is right or wrong and be a role model.

I've mocked before, I won't lie, but I've learned from my mistakes. It's not funny. If you made a post and everyone started spamming it, basically making fun of you, I doubt you'd be happy, unless you have an extremely fun sense of humor. However, not everyone has that. People take that to the heart. Think about what you do before you do it.

I've mocked a new user before and shortly after regretted it. That new user left the community a few days later. We need to learn to welcome any kind of user, whether new or a veteran, to keep them here.

That's the main reason why this community is dying. People are getting bullied out of the community. Whenever they come online, they feel upset and are moody throughout their day. Your actions can determine what one does in real life or on the game, whether it's bullying at school to "relieve that anger", which doesn't work, or go on a kill streak on OldCP maybe.

If you want to joke about someone, just keep it to yourself. Our community is all about having a great time and always being respectful to everyone.

I think the only time mocking is fine is when you know the person and know they will know you're only kidding.

However, many of you do not know the user you just mocked and do not know how upset they are right now.

I hope you all take this discussion into consideration.

But actually this is a good post thank you Shah

Maybe you have your doubts if what Gamer is saying is true. But why did you have to make this post when he came back? In fact, what was the point of making this post in the first place? You could have not posted this and instead let Gamer be and nothing would change. Right now, debunking Gamer's story is not only untrue, but it is also unnecessary! It doesn't matter how thorough your research is or how politely you explain your opinion; don't stick your nose in other people's business.

What Gamer went through does not concern you, and how other people spend their money on here does not concern you. You didn't have to post this but you did.

Instead of trying to tear someone down who went through a traumatic enough experience, you could either support him or say nothing at all. And if you're not going to support him, you might as well kept this to yourself and the rest of us who do care can be there for him. In a situation that concerns ONLY Gamer, why would you ever think your opinion is relevant?
